  1. I have followed the quides on here but still have a few questions. It says to send proof of relationship with 130 form but nothing about the 129 form. Oh yeah, we are applying for a K-3 visa. So i just send proof of bonified marriage with the 130 form and not the 129 form? Also do i send them both together to the service center? Or do i send them out separately?

    Thanks

Hello Pugsly, I just finish the whole process of k-3. First let me ask you. Have you filed the I-130 and if so have they sent you the (I 797 notice) saying they received your petetion if they did, you are on the right track. Next thing for you to is to mail a copy of I 797 notice. along with your I 129F. Pugsly go for the

k-3 it is faster than cr1 reason why I'm saying this, that if I had not done the k-3 my husband would had to wait for his interview for the cr1 which is a 7 to 8 month wait. The catch is once you have finished the I-130 process meaning sumitting all documents that NVC request from. Then they tell you everything is completed and that they will notify you when your interview comes up which take 7 to 8 month. while the I-130 which becomes cr1 is processing k-3 kicks in, in his country they then schedule him an appointment with in three month and then he goes to the appointment get approved for nonimmigrant visa to come wait over in usa adjust staus to interview in usa. times between I-130 is 12mo to complete with all processing documents to NVC. Which turns into cr1 which is another 7 to 8 mo until a interview is schedule in his country. so total wait time to be with your hubby will take about 18mo, are more. With the k-3 total time 6 to 9 mo to be with your hubby.

I would suggest you check the timelines for CR/IRs here on VJ. CRs have speeded up in the last year.

K3 is still faster but not a whole lot.

there',s no need for me to check my husband and I been through all we are finished i was just letting it be known to do k-3 its faster because it allow your spouse to come earlier and adjust status my husband got his green card saturday in the mail. when he arrived on june 4th , 2007 i adjusted his status which took 4 1/2 mo for interview nov. 19 was approved and now he has greencard in his pocket. im talking facts hoping to help out on visa journey. every little bit counts.

  3. Since I got both of I-129F and I-130 approved, Can I cancel my I-129F and go for I-130?

Or I-129F automatically get canceled once I-130 approved? Or I have to cancel it?

Please advise before NVC forward my I-129F.

    Data Sheet

hello/ do not cancel anything let everything take its place just because both got approved dont mean you will have your spouse over as soon as the I-130 is finish once nvc complete I-130 then they schedule his or hers interview

that when it becomes long waiting because they can not give you a date nor time when it will happen and if the k-3 is still actived then the embassy from his country might send him packet 3&4 a interview date for the k-3 visa. Thank God, I didnt abandon my k-3. everyone else case was completed. mines was completed on march 8th, 2007 still no interview date set for him depending how busy his or hers embassy is it can take up to 7 to 9 months for a interview date but he was sent k-3 packet with a date for interview on may 21st, 2007 we are going for the k-3 now if he get an appointment for the I-130 before may 21st then he will go to it, but way it seems now most likely he wont so he'll come over on a nonimmigrant visa and change aos once he gets here so just let nature take its course. ok good luck.

  4. IR-1/CR-1 do not follow the same procedure as K-1 and K-3.

I know that but they have all the papers they need it. They looked at it . THE case is completed. So nothing is missing and i have seen lots of people having their papers forwarded to the embassies 2 days after the case was completed. And yes thses people applied for IR / CR1 and they are from Turkey. I have never heard that NVC keeps the papers until they give you an appointment date thing. Maybe i am wrong anybody has any answers to this?

hey I'm the the same boat ur in waiting for my spouse interview date hes in nigeria im in the usa case was completed feb 08, 2007 and last month at scheduling time he did not get an intervie date tomorrow april 12th is scheduling time again so ill check monday to see if he got a date

but since i sent in the I-129F right after I got my I-797 notice which is the k-3 visa thank god i did because feb 16, 2007 my husband called and told me the embassy there mailed him his packet 4 with his interview date which is may 21st, 2007 . now i see why they say k-3 can be a littler faster because cr1 u got to wait on nvc and i heard that can take up too 7 to 8 months b4 we get a date depending how busy our embassy is. so good luck one day u will get a date but when is the ?
