  1. My wife and I went through this process about 6 months ago. Packet #3 has the following:

1)Simple biographical data forms for your fiancé (e) to fill out

2)They ask you for some more passport photos

3)They ask that your fiancé have a current passport that has a minimum of 1 year left before expiration

4)Instructions for the medical exams (to be completed in ONLY Hospital Punto Paitilla, or Hospital Nacional)

5)When you have everything ready, your fiancé has to personally take the packet to the embassy. We learned the hard way when my wife’s sister tried to deliver the packet for her as she lived in Chiriqui and her sister lives in Panama City. They said it has to be the person on the packet who delivers it.

When your fiancé delivers the packet, have him/her have an idea of when they would like to interview, which is usually within 15 days. You have the option of going to Panama to be with your future spouse during the interview, although it is not necessary. I went more for morale support.

I'm happy to share with anyone our process in Panama and the K-1 visa. Feel free to email me anytime: gregbranen@yahoo.com
