The NVC can process your IV application and the I-864 AoSupport application while you are waiting for your I-601a to be approved.

Before the NVC will schedule your interview, the NVC will need:

    1) Completed and paid DS-260 (your IV application)

    2) Completed and paid I-864 Affidavit of Support.

    3) Approved I-601a from the USCIS.  USCIS will send you a letter in the mail and they will inform the NVC of their decision.

Hi!  When is your interview?  We are trying to get the police certificate from here (USA) before we make our appt. in Ciudad Juarez.

Well you should get it before you go to Juarez or else it will delay your stay in mexico.

My attorney advise me to get it, but on the paperwork says you must be at least 16 yrs old before coming to the US so I didn't get it. Also I consulted a couple other attorneys about the subject and the told me I didn't need it because I migrated when I was 11 yrs.

Hello!! I have been checking on the proccesing time everyday and i noticed today that nebraska center changes before it was taking between 2.5-6 months but today it says that is taking between 6-8 months. I called the costumer service on june 19 and I was told that they were processing cases from january 26. I filed mine on march 20 did fingerprints on april 24 and since then i have not heard anything from the uscis. Also before the inquiry date was january 5 /2018 today went back to november 10/2017. What i think is a lot cases were moved to the nebraska center recently and that is probably why they are expecting to take longer.

Yes I believe so. I filed back on 12/05/17. Biometrics 12/26/17. Case transfer to Nebraska office on 4/28/18. I submitted a inquiry about my case on 6/22/18. Finally on 6/29/18 I got a response back, it said I should be hearing back with in 60 days from the day I got the email. So fingers crossed.

Hello, I am new to all of this! just wanted to share. This is for my husband!

February 2018 - My husband's waiver was sent off within 2 weeks we received the receipt.

March 17, 2018 - Biometrics appt was received.

April 5, 2018 - Biometrics appt in Tennesse, everything went well by the way.

Currently waiting on approval... A little confused though, I called NVC inquiring about his case and they mentioned something about an affidavit application that had to be submitted before his interview but after the approval, anyone aware of this?

Once your waiver is approved your immigration attorney will get an email. Then he must submit the I-864 affidavit of support. I believe is the once that will grant you an interview.
