    N400 is processed individually. There is no guarantee of anything but you can try this (personal experience and we lucked out):

     

    Put each application in its own envelop and then put both envelops in a large one and send as one package.  Write a nice cover letter for each application and state that you would like to do biometrics, interview, and oath together if possible.  Thank them in advance.

     

    You will be interviewed separately.  During interview, each of you asks again to have your oath schedule at the same time.  The officers most likely will put a note and try to accommodate.

    The best is a black pen with waterproof/eternal ink like the Uni-Ball Vision Elite.   I use fountain pen with Noodler's "bulletproof" ink to sign pretty much everything.

     

    I signed everything (biometric photo, certificate of naturalization, passport, etc) with just my first initial and last name as I would normally sign everything else.  At Oath ceremony, I asked USCIS rep about signing with full name on the certificate of naturalization.  He told me to just sign as I normally do.  I do not think passport is any different.

    Agree.  It is not over until we receive everything back.  I also applied for the passport card so I (hope) may receive three separate packages.  I heard that the new passport is the only one via Priority mail.  The others are just using first class mails.

    "If you applied for both a U.S. Passport Book and a U.S. Passport Card on the same application, the newly issued documents, as well as your returned citizenship evidence, may be mailed to you in separate packages at different times.  Therefore, it is possible to receive 3 separate mailings; one with your returned citizenship evidence, one with your newly issued passport book, and one with your newly issued passport card. It is currently being processed."

    I did not take the time to enter my dates in the formatted table, but the summary is this:

    Application at post office on June 22th in MA

    Notification passport is ready and to be on its way early July 3rd

    Notification of shipment July 4th, estimated arrival July 6th, confirmed via "informed Delivery" web portal

     

    Yours processed pretty fast.  Congrats!

    I applied the same day (June 22) as yours and mine is still processing and it has the same status since June 28 (personal check cashed on June 29).  I used regular service via USPS.

    Looking at the timeline matrix here, most applications, even "routine" mode, do not seem to take more than three weeks to complete. Correct?

     

    Is the processing time any different than someone's getting a renewal? In other words, is the new-citizen, new-passport process different?

    It would almost seems they are shorter!

    I also applied on June 22nd in Michigan and my application was delivered today to Irving, TX.

    It seems Detroit scheduled some Oath ceremonies for those who were interviews in late April.  I know there are some ceremonies next week in Kalamazoo, MI for those who reside in western Michigan.  The timing is before July 4th and I wonder if there are some more on July 4th in Grand Rapids or Grand Haven.  Then there are a few more ceremonies in Grand Haven on July 19-20.
