We're sort of like in the same boat. But in my case, I 751 haven't been approved since January 2017 (23 months now). On the other hand, I have been waiting for the Oath ceremony letter for 3 months and half. I don't understand what's going on. Chicago office is a mess. I talked to a supervisor and I was in shock how unprofessional she was (little knowledge about immigration rules) needless to say, she didn't help. Same thing happen with the different officers I talked in the past few months. Somebody told me that the delay has to do with budget issues...they can close the government for lack of funding, meaning, no payment for those people (who can blame them!). Is terrible times for immigrants and I am just sorry we got caught up on this at the last minute (waiting for Oath ceremony! we are already at the end). I also realized they got rid of the info pass appointment and when I call to USCIS they encourage you a lot to use the online tools, meaning they're not going to do much from now on. Please let me know about any updates in your case, I will do the same. Hope we're out of this soon.

When did your I-751 approved? If it is not approved then you need to wait untill they approve your I-751 first. My interview for N400 was in May 2018 but they Approved my I751 in Nov 2018 after that they approved my N400. Then & then they will schedule you for Oath Ceremony.

I did Service request last month and I got a reply from Chicago office today that "They will not send me Green card and they already place me in line for Oath Ceremony".

    Alright. Since November 1st????

Ummmmmm that's strange. You probably should have gotten a response by now....

Have you checked your documents on the online USCIS portal website to see if it's in the documents tab???

I checked everything and called USCIS twice. They told me they place you in line for Oath Ceremony but no update yet.

Her interview went very smooth. In and out after 30 minutes or less. No updates for Oath ceremony. Hopefully today or tomorrow we should get a letter. A friend of mines got their letter exactly 7 days or 8 days after their interview. Since her interview was last week on Tuesday. I'd imagine today or tomorrow we should get a letter.

Please keep me posted if you get Oath ceremony letter. I am waiting from Nov 1st

I filed Novemeber 2017 and interviewed June 2018 with ceremony September 2018. If you live in the city your ceremony will be much sooner, so I would say time scale is about spot on.

Hey, I read that your Oath ceremony was in Peoria. I am also from Peoria,IL

My N400 approved on Nov 1st and I am still waiting for Oath Ceremony. Its been 6 weeks and online status is "Under quality review". Where did they schedule in Peoria? I was like we need to go to Chicago for Oath ceremony too. Is that a reason that is taking too long?

Finally, Chicago interview has been scheduled for 12/4/18 in the morning. 😄

Hopefully the Oath ceremony comes same day or within a few weeks!

For anyone who's curious, we filed the application back on May 4th and was received by USCIS May 9th in Chicago. I'm too lazy to type out all the info so plz see attached JPG.

I've already received FAX copies of W2 transcripts for the last 3 years. It's better to get faxed copies instead of paper copies because mail can take a few days. I'd suggest anyone who needs copies to sign up for Efax and you can receive fax copies via your online fax number instantly once you are ready to call the IRS.

Got copies and originals for marriage certificates and birth certificates.

    - Need to make copies of the green card and drivers license I.D.

    - Need to get copies of bank statements in case*****

    - Wifey needs to study a little bit more for Civics test. Spoken English won't be a problem as she speaks well. Hopefully they don't throw too many curveballs at her for the Civics test.

Mine approved on Nov 1st and It is in "Quality review" from last 6 weeks. I am still waiting for Oath Ceremony from Chicago office

How was your interview? Did you get any update about Oath Ceremony?

They are usually faster than that. Did you request to talk to a tier2 officer on the phone?

I did but every time they are saying you need to wait for at least 30 days to respond. For I-751 my 30 days are on Dec 16th and for N400 my 30 days are on Jan 7th.

One more thing,  I filed I751 in CSC and they trasnfer it to NBC.I got I-751 approval letter from NBC but my service request for I-751 assigned to CSC. I searched online and figure it out that they produce card from NBC . They should assign my service request to NBC.

  8. My I-751 approved on Nov 1st. N400 approved on Nov 1st as well. I-751 Status changed to "New card being produced" on Nov 5th. N400 status is in "Quality Review" from Nov 1st. As of now I didn't get my Green card and no notification for Oath Ceremony. My field office is Chicago. Anyone have any suggestion what to do in this case? I called to USCIS and got the standard answers like wait for few more weeks.

Yes, it finally appeared 2 days after the update said that oath was scheduled. Date is Dec 19th which is a lot sooner than we originally expected. Maybe they're trying to get through the backlog faster now.

    Hope that helps.

Hey, I am on the same page. Do you think you will get your Green card before Oath Ceremony? Can we take Oath without Green card? I thought we need to submit our actual green card during Oath ceremony.

Any I-751/N-400 combo filers from Chicago who were granted a combo interview ? Any approvals come out of that ?

I am Chicago Filers. I had my N400 interview in May. I still have I751 pending. IO declined to have an interview of I751. He was very upset with me bcas I applied for N400 with I751 pending. 2 months after N400 interview . still waiting. No update on both cases.

I applied for N400 in Jan 2018. Chicago is my local Office. I had an interview on May 22nd for N400. I thought they combine my N400 and I751 together but they were not.

IO asked me why you applied for N400 even if your I751 is pending? I said I called USCIS and one of the representative told me that you're eligible to apply that is the reason I applied. He said you're still consider as a Conditional resident, you are eligible only if you are permanent resident.

Then IO start with N400 interview. I passed all the tests.

At the end , he again asked your condition needs to be removed first before you apply for the citizenship.

I said my spouse is here if you want to take I-751 interview. He said why would I take an interview with your spouse? I said we apply jointly for I751 condition to be removed. He said You should not apply N400 before I751 approved.

He said he will see what he can do in this case.

It is been more than 10 days now. no status update. I 751 is still with NBC.

    Does anyone have any idea?
