  1. Hello all,

    I have a few questions.

    Here is my timeline so far;

    06/06 - Married USC

    06/11 - filed entire AOS package (i485, i130, i765, i864)

    06/18 - received NOA's

    *received bio appointment shortly after, which i had to reschedule*

    08/06 - biometrics appt done (Charleston, SC office)

    08/15 - received final interview appt for 09/20

    My questions are;

    1. I only received an NOA so far for the i765 and my online case status just says that it was received.

    I know they usually grant this within 90 days, is that 90 days from when I filed or 90 days from my biometric appt? Its been only 2+ months since filing but is there a way to find out when it will arrive/be accepted? It would be really nice to get my EAD before my final interview.

    2. Seeing as my AOS/Green Card interview is roughly 3 months from my filing date, is there a chance I will receive my green card and work authorization around the same time?

    3. If accepted and all goes to plan, do the officers still give you the green card stamp at the end of the interview? Or do you have to wait for this in the mail?

    Any help with any of these questions would be great, as there is conflicting information available online.

    Thank you and good luck to everyone else.

  2. Have filed for AOS from B2 Visa and everything is moving fairly quickly and smoothly thus far. Have received NOAs and written receipt quickly and now waiting on biometrics interview to be scheduled.

    I understand every case is different but if anyone has recently filed via the Charleston, SC office and would like to give a brief timeline, that would be much appreciated! Would be handy to know what sort of schedule they're running off at the moment.

    Good luck to everyone.

    Don't get your medical examination done til they tell you to. They will warn you that it's not been received and they need it for the interview but if you send it in with I-485, it might expire and that's money wasted.

    Thanks a lot! Also one other thing - When sending the checks for filing fees, is it better to send the whole amount for both i130 and i485 in one check? or separate checks which the respective amounts pertaining to each form? my mind is drowning with information from the USCIS and ***removed*** sites at the moment and can't seem to find any clarity on this! Have a great day

  4. Hello all!

    I am a UK citizen preparing my files for my AOS process from B1/B2 visa after marrying a US citizen.

    I just have a question regarding the medical examination file. When submitting i-485 does the i-693 have to be included? I have read in other places that it can be carried out at a later date and brought to the formal interview. I don't mind either way, I just don't want to submit everything for processing and have the process delayed due to not including the medical examination file.

    Any help would be great. Many thanks in advance.
