I am so happy. I had my N-400 interview today. Also had my ROC approved beforehand. After 20.5 months, I'm so happy to turn my name green. Good luck to all those still waiting.
I take my Oath on July 4th, which in Seattle is a huge gathering in Seattle Center. Cant wait. Such a special day to end this 6 year journey.

    Hello All!
    New here, first post..

I ve gone thru this whole thread and I would like to thank everyone that shared their stories.
To my experience the information you can find here is a lot more accurate then the info you can receive from the majority of the immigration lawyers out there.

I filed for I751 mid September 2016 and filed for N400 at the end of December 2017. Both in Los Angeles

Called USCIS regarding my I751 multiple times, talked to Tier 2 officers but havent found out anything other than "there is a backlog, you gotta wait"
Recently contacted my congressman and waiting to hear from them, will share the results from here if I hear anything back.
Also recently received a letter saying my case is transferred to National Benefits Center Lee's Summit, MO

As far as I can understand from the tracker here most people who filed around the same time with me heard back and got their cards.
Only logical explanation I can think of that maybe Los Angeles branch was busier than others and thats why I still havent heard back. Or maybe since I filed for N400 they will process them together.

I m pretty confused and not sure what is going on.
Are there any other folks out there in a similar situation?

    Thanks!

Wow. You have read the whole thread! My hat goes off to you for that alone. LOL.
I also filed mid Sept 2016 for ROC and Sept 2017 N-400 (Seattle). I've called, put inquires in and done a lot of research regarding N-400 filers filing before ROC finalization. I've also had 3 hardcopy transfer letters (See signature below this post). This is the information I can give you from my research.

Since you filed N-400 it will most likely be combined with your ROC (Make sure you take your spouse to the N-400 interview for ROC purpose). Those filers who waited for ROC to be finished before filing N-400 have mostly all received approval/cards in the mail already. Those who filed N-400 when eligibility came up are either still waiting for approval/cards or are already US citizens.
When N-400 oath comes up, greencard holders have to surrender all USCIS issued cards. It is for this reason, that ROC and N-400 filers dont usually see ROC cards.

With transfers of late, the NBC is one of a few places that ROC and N-400 files go to be combined (in a sense). I have read that few ROC filers have had their ROC adjudicated there before Citizenship interview. My ROC is currently at NBC also.

So, in a nut shell, what you really want is your N-400 to have some action taken on it. Your local office will adjudicate your ROC first before they move onto your N-400 testing and interview. Make sure you take any updated tax forms/evidence with you for ROC just in case. I wasn't expecting any movement on my N-400 until Sept 2018, but got shocked when my interview was scheduled.
If LA do same day oath ceremonies, dont get your hopes up. Seattle also do same day oaths but since my ROC hasn't been processed yet, it wont be the same day as they have to adjudicate ROC and stop the card process then approve your N-400.

Hope this is not too confusing for you or anyone else. I have re-herniated a disk in my back and on painkillers that are sending my head into loops.
    Good luck.

Grid Issue, I also got a notice that my I-751 was transferred to the National Benefits Center and then a week letter I was scheduled for my N-400 interview in San Fernando Valley, CA. However, I'm an August 2017 N-400 filer. If you're December 2017 filer, my guess is they might approve your I-751 first and then you might have a while longer to wait for your N-400 processing. Often times, they'll do them together but it's usually based on the N-400 priority date and if that's ready to be processed rather than the I-751 speeding up the N400. That's just my best guess though.

See if only I751 was involved for you, you would have gotten yours by now, but you had your N400 filed on December 2017 that is probably why it's still pending.  USCIS website states they are, at the moment, dealing with May 30, 2017 and the new timeline is approx 9.5 to 14 months.  So maybe you gotta wait a few more months.

For "Transferred to" case, most of us received the same thing only to find out that was never true.

For more trustworthy messages, I would suggest you create a USCIS account.

I am exactly on the same boat, with the exception of my local office being Seattle. I also received that case transferred letter to MO. WTH?
I haven't called, so just waiting for now, but it is taking forever.

At least it's good to know we're not alone!
