Hi everyone,

I had a question. I applied for a NVC expedite and it was approved with the following message:

The U.S. Embassy is willing to expedite this case when we have all the fees, forms, and documents. If you have not already done so, you can pay your fees and submit Form DS-260 at ceac.state.gov.

I have submitted everything to NVC and my case was complete on 11/23. 

My question is instead of waiting to hear back with an interview date, can I go ahead and schedule my own interview? When I go to the US embassy website there is an option for scheduling an interview that says:

The visa appointment system is intended for eligible applicants only who have received written notification from the U.S. Embassy, Islamabad that they must schedule an appointment.

I filled out all the information that they asked for (DS-260 confirmation number, case number, etc.) and it's actually letting me pick an interview date. 

Can I go ahead and schedule an interview or should I wait? I'm assuming it wouldn't even let me get this far if I couldn't schedule it myself.

NVC emailed me saying that I had uploaded an incorrect document and asked me to resubmit which I did over the weekend. Does anyone know how long it will take for them to re-review my case and assign an interview date? I also have an expedite approval from my US embassy.

The status will change to "At NVC" once all the docs are accepted... It took about 12 days for ours to change. Just have patience and keep checking on it. Good luck 

My status has changed to "At NVC". What does that mean? What are my next steps?

Hi, 

I am a US citizen and I have applied for a spouse visa for my wife. Our priority date is 02/02/18. Our case was approved 09/14/18. We sent all documents to NVC on 11/02/18. Now the CEAC website states "submitted" for all documents. I had a couple of questions which I don't fully understand:

1. What does it mean for case to be complete? Is that when we submit all our documents to NVC or is that when NVC accepts the documents we submitted?

2. What does it mean for priority date to become current? Does this apply to US citizens as the number of spousal visas are unlimited for us. 

3. NVC approved our expeidte request and stated that it was willing to expedite our request once all documents/fees are submitted. Now that they have received all documents/fees, how long will I have to wait at the NVC stage before being transferred to the embassy?

My PD is 02/02 at TSC but still no updates

It seems like PD for mid and late Feb has started but I haven't heard back anything on mine. 

Any ideas?

My PD date is Feb 2nd (Texas Service Center) and I still haven't heard anything. Should I reach out to USCIS? People after me are getting their NOA2 but nothing for me.
