Best practice says you should always scan to your computer, the files you are planning on sending in. That way you are sending the scanned documents (which you can always print again if you need to), and you can file the original.

 

In my file cabinet is a folder about 4 inches thick, which holds all my documents. This way, when I go to file my N-400, I'll have everything I need at my fingertips.

 

I suggest you get, at the very least, an accordion style folder, so you can start keeping track of your hard copy documents.

Don't trust your computer to hold all your evidence. I've seen way too many computer crashes in my day to not have backups, and backups of my backups. Print what you can, and have that handy.

Exhibit D : life planning - healthcare proxy, wills, account beneficiary for life insurance, retirement plans

Exhibit E: shared life so far- vacations together with photos and travel, hotel tickets if they show both names etc

 

Some pooh pooh the list and organizing as not required. But in my opinion it helped me with AoS.

 

Include the complete bank statements or lease document and not the just a few pages.

we send whole duration of our marriage. sent bank statement, letter from our friends, joint tax, club member ship, lease, phone bill, check, photos.dl copy, car insurance and bill and lost of more stuff that i can not remember,

Dear All, I got rfe and ask for ADVANCE HEALTH CARE DIRECTIVE FORM when I look it up online and it said "The Advance Health Care Directive has replaced the Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care (or “DPAHC) as the legally recognized document for appointing a health care agent in California" according to the articles on the website. so if I still use old Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care is that ok since on the rfe paper it ask for Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care. If I use Advance Health Care Directive maybe it will not work? Please help. Thanks

It doesn't matter when u send it bunch of people send it 90 days before some 2 days before.
however i did file 2 weeks before exactly, and im waiting for my interview hah, but i doubt it has to do anything with filling date. Cause ive seen people file day before and not get interview or RFE, and people file 90 days before and be harased at the interview. We all have busy life and stuff to do, and there is a time window with a reason. As long as u are not out of it.

I would appreciate if you guys can give your opinion on this, I received RFE and the instructions said send the response using the attached envelope. The envelope provided by USCIS is too small and it will not fit all the docs. I am planing to use usps box to mail them, how can I attch the encelope uscis provided? Do I paste outside the usps box? or put the envelope inside with my rfe docs? Thank you so much for helping!

we send club member and gym member ship. not sure if we should resend them, if you book hotel in expedia it will only show one name and i already give them the receipt but they want more... really can not think of others.
