Hello! We filed our AOS in October, had our interview yesterday and were approved! Waiting on green card now. So excited - what a relief!

Hi guys. It's been a long time since I posted in here. Brian got his visa on April 30th. When he'd returned from his interview in London, his mum took a turn for the worse and passed away on May 19th. We've sort of been dealing with all the fallout from that. Tomorrow we will buy him a ticket to come here, most likely September-ish so he can bring the cat. We'll get married asap and have a formal party later. I'm very very tired.
Glad to see everyone's doing well.

What's this about expedited delivery???
Could be something that could save us a lot of trouble...
You can pay extra to have your visa delivered before a certain time of the day. It's not possible to have it delivered on an earlier date, just a certain time on the day they are going to deliver it anyway.

Exactly. Except it didn't work too well in this case.

Brian got his visa today - he paid for the expedited delivery before 11 and it wasn't delivered until after 2. Needless to say he was a wreck. But we have it now. Now we can start planning!!

Good luck to you all this week in your interview, Im looking forward to seeing the reviews.
he just texted and I called him. It went fine and now we wait for medical results and fingerprint results!!

Oh for god's sake just buy Bush's brand it's the same thing
Sheesh.
Hmmm, I don't think so. Taste different to me (tried them). Maybe psychological, but definitely taste funny. Otherwise I would gladly pay much less and stop whining:)
Let me know if you can't find them, I can get them here in Portland and send some to you!

I have been strong in staying away from here because it tends to wind me up. But today I couldn't stand it any longer so I peeked in.
And I shouldn't have. Because so many of us are in limbo. I checked online and nada-zip-zilch. It's very upsetting to see June approvals and then seen posts like from babblesgirl about October approvals.
I'm quite depressed. Need somehow to get spirits up before I talk to the boy. He's stressed enough as it is.
I'm sorry I have to start being more positive. Maybe this will be our week...
Don't apologize, I'm certainly not blaming you, LOL. I am mad at myself for not being stronger.
I just want it all to be done.

Doesn't your fiance have 120 days to enter the US, then you must get married within the 90 days from entry?
If that's true, then that's 4 months to get here, and another month and a half to get married (leaving time for the change of status, right?).
I wouldn't do it until you have visa in hand. In the end, it's that you're both married and with each other that matters, not the venue. That's how those places make money, making the customer feel they HAVE to have the perfect wedding.

I got my I-797C, Notice of Action, in the mail today!!! I shrieked out loud!!!
I am now with the California Service Center which explains the delay. At least it's not lost!!!!

I've been lurking on this forum for quite some time - there's lots of great info and support here. I just filed my I-129F yesterday and am quite excited to get this ball rolling. Now I need to start saving funds for the rest of the process, LOL!
