  1. How To Dance In The Rain

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly

    gentleman in his

80's,arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb.

He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it

    would be

over an hour before someone would be able to see him.

I saw him looking at his watch, and decided, since I was

    not busy with

another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the

    doctors, got

the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress

    his wound.

While taking care of his wound, I asked him I f he had

    another doctor's

appointment this morning, as he was in such a hur ry.

The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the

    nursing home to

    eat breakfast with his wife.

I inquired as to her health; he told me that she had been

    there for a

while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease.

As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he

    was a bit late.

He replied that she no longer knew who he was,

    that she had not

recognized him in five years now.

I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every

    morning, even

though she doesn't know who you are'?

He smiled as he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't know

    me, but I

    still know who she is'.

I had to hold back tears as he left; I had goose bumps on

    my arm, and

thought, 'That is the kind of love I want in my life'.

True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True

    love is an

acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

With all the jokes and fun that are in e-mails, sometimes

    there is one

that comes along that has an important message.

This one I thought I could share with you.

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of

    everything;

they just make the best of everything they have.

I hope you share this with someone you care about.

'Life isn't about how to survive the storm,

But how to dance in the rain.'

  2. Dear all,

I wonder if there will still be update from CRIS after the release of NOA2, such as update that states that CSC has sent the case to NVC, and update that state that NVC has sent the file to the consulate. Could u pls let me know? I am concerned since our approved petition hasnt been sent to the NVC

    Many thanks in advance! :)

Ranie and glen, from my experience, we didn't get any update from CRIS after the NOA2, but my fiance got a mail from NVC two weeks after NOA2 and they said that the case has been forwarded to the embassy here and we will hear something from them soon. I remembered my fiance got the mail in Friday and we got the email from US embassy by Monday with my case number. I guess you will hear something from NVC not so long from now.

    Good luck

  3. We finally got our NOA2 which is allowing us to move to the next step of this journey. I am a teacher and it's not easy to leave work anytime I need to leave since I have responsibility waits behind. Fortunately, this profession also provided me with many holidays which is also allowing me to take care my personal need during my holidays. I heard some people said that I could have my medical done before packet 3 arrives. My question is, how will I be able to get my medical exam done because the forms for the medical exam only available at US Embassy? Am I allowed to send email to US Embassy in Jakarta to inquire about this? Has anyone in this forum been trying this step? I'm going to have my holiday and wanted to use this opportunity to get things that I can be done without have to wait for the packet 3.

    Any advice very much appreciated.

    Thank you

  4. My fiance sent I-129F petition back in July 2007 and 1 month later (August) we have it returned. They said that this petition rejected and they require original signature of the petitioner. This is not true becasue the signature was there. to make long story short, my fiance tried to get help from the congress to poof that signature was there and the service centre improperly processed the application. At the end of September we have the service centre asked us to send the petition back. My question is, has anyone here experienced this? I was wondering if the case will be processed along with July filers or october filers? I don't believe that calling service centre will be benefit because the answer not giving much help:-(

    Thank you.

Your case will likely be in the queue with October filers. Your probably not going to be able to get them to speed things up because of the mistake.

But on the other hand, if you prepare ahead of time, you can get your interview in Jakarta very quickly. Only a couple weeks instead of months as beneficiaries in other countries have to wait.

Dan & Gemvita, thank you for the feedback. I have another question for you. What do you mean by preparing ahead of time? Are you saying that it would be okay to start on getting the police clearance or I should wait until the embassy in Jakarta inform me?

    Thank you.

  6. Does anybody here know if the address in your passport has to have the same address with your current address if someone was to go for visa interview in Jakarta? I have my passport expired July 2009 but I now moved which it means, my address in my passport isn't the same address to where I now live. My question is, can I use my current passport if I was to go for visa interview at embassy, or I will need a new passport with the current address I have? I am a bit confused. Has anybody here experience this?

  7. We've got NOA1 so far and being impatient for approval:-( I know that one doesn't need to be in rush when there so many times to wait. But I want to collect some data for myself for future reference. I noticed that the embassy here in Jakarta required ones police certificate from any place you have lived from age of 16, and fortunately they have an advise where to get a police certificate without having you go to any places you have lived to get police certificate. My question is, what documentation do you need to bring when you come to get your police certificate? Do they require the same documentation to be brought when you come to get police certificate for passport? Feedback from readers who've done this very much appreciate especially them who've done this in Jakarta. For information, I have lived in some places outside of Jakarta but not aboard. Thanks

  8. Medical is pretty easy. The available doctors are on the embassy page. The cost is 600,000 IDR for the exam, and vaccines are extra, which for us was about another 600,000 IDR. You can schedule the medical as soon as you have packet 3, and you will need to wait a couple days before bringing in the rest of your documents for document inspection.

Thank you, this is much appreciated.

    KS1881,

We just received our packet 3 via email. In the email there's an attachment with 2 physicians listed in Jakarta. We called one of them and made an appointment with him. He told us to bring all the medical forms(attached on the email) and once the exam is completed he will forward the result to the embassy. He said it will take 3 business days for the result.

Hope this answered all your question. Let me know if I can provide you with more information.

Please pray for our medical and interview.

Wijaya, thank you for the information. I just got chance to log in in visa journey today and seemed things go smooth on your side so far. Good luck to you and pray that everything will go well on visa interview also

  9. My fiance sent his divorce certificate along his 129F application. My question is, what document does USCIS needed? Is it divorced certificate or it has to be divorce decree? I started to get worry if our application got denied because he sent divorce certificate instead of divorce decree. Will divorce certificate acceptable?

    Thank you

  11. I am in the middle of collecting information in things I need to know or have if I was going for visa interview in Jakarta. I found some helpful information from VJ site but unfortunately I didn't hear anyone mentioned about how to get medical exam. If there any reader of this post from Jakarta ( Indonesia) and have done medical exam, would you please do me a favor by sharing information about what we need or where to go for this medical thing?

    Thank you
