  1. What did you show at interview when it came to phone records?? when useing phone card?? would like to knwo opinion.. how many just showed log of calls made with phone card?? only showing the 877-800 -866 number not number connected too? and if it was a problem

My husband interview we submitted copies of the phone cards. Make sure you have some many orgnaized documents in a binder, and you will find the interviewer will be impressed and your visa will be granted. Make sure you have hundreds of emails as well.

  3. My husband is from Lagos as well. What we did was compile a notebook with all our emails, phone bills letters and cards sent thru the mail. We had all our financial information such as job letter, bank letter and we made sure that everything was neat and in order and my husband interview was only 5 minutes. Just be organized and honest and he will have a successful interview.

THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO PRAY FOR ME AND MY HUSBAND. GOD IS TRULY MOVING ON OUR BEHALF ONLY BECAUSE OF HIS GRACE AND MERCY. 5. We were approved for a K1 visa and married per the K1 requirements. Before we could adjust status he had to return for a family crisis. Yes this was a difficult decision and I hope others never have to make this choice but it could not be helped.

Now we are faced with filing as a K3 to be re-united. I have read the guides and I'm concerned about proving a bonafide marriage. He was here so short that we were unable to establish bank accounts or other assets. No one attended our civil ceremony and we were ok with this because we had planned a large celebration for the fall. He was able to get a social security card and a state ID but nothing else. Is there somewhere I can find a longer detailed listing of things to include to support a bonafied marriage?

No this is not a case of marrige fraud just an example of how life can take an odd turn just when you have it figured out.

I would contact and immigration lawyer. I believe since he has started the process and if you have supporting documents it should not be a big problem. You should also contact the USCIS and see what they believe to be the best options.

  6. congratulations, ur beginning the process - me too - i just got my NOA1 on Wednesday....good luck on the rest of this journey.......Melinda

Your journey is now starting. You will recieve and hard copy in the mail. Now is the time to begin gathering all emails and phone records. Make copies of your passport with stamps and any visas that you recieve to enter Ghana. Make a copy of your flight information, and gather any pictures you may have. Just begin to compile as much evidence as possible to prove your relationship.

  7. I was told aside from the $170 fee for the I-129f there is also a $390 fee for the AGENT OF CHOICE, is this true ?

Normally when you file the I-130 the petition is sent to the NVC and you pay a fee bill of $70, after fee is paid they send you a choice of agent. The choice of agent is the perosn whom will recieve all the correspndence and bills from the NVC. Then the NVC will sent another bill of I believe 380 and then after paid you will get and I-864 which and affidvat and you include tax information.

  8. It takes about four to six weeks to get into the embassy in Nigeria database. You can email them and they will tell you if your file is in their system or you can have you husband go to the embassy and make an inquiry. Make sure that you have all your documents in order like bankstatements, phone records, emails, pictures, letters from job and tax info. You can burn time by getting prepared. The email address to the consulate in Nigeria is lagoscons2@state.gov Congratulations on your approval. Your one step away from having your husband home.

  9. Every case is different, but I was told it is best to visit more than once. I married in Nigeria as well, and about two weeks before my husband interview I went again. The most important thing is to have tons of evidence, and to compile it neatly. You have started your process so just be prepared to go one more time to be on the safe side. I hope that you have lots of pictures with your husband and his family. I hope you have a speedy journey.

  10. Okay we do have a case number for the I-130 just called the NVC it was entered into the system on APRIL 24th, YEAH!

It said that we would receive paperwork between 6-8 weeks! Do we wait on this or should we print all the forms off the guides list?

Thanks again for all your help!!!!

Wait for the paperwork because the paper work from NVC will have your name and case number on it. You first set of paper work with be agent of choice, and then that allow you to choose who will get the bills and mail to which spouses home. I believe it is best to get all mail sent to an address in the U.S. All future paper work is simple. I believe the first payment is 70.00, and then second bill is 380.00.

  11. Hello Everyone. Hope everyone's journey has been coming along okay. I would like to know what is the correct information on the transit visa situation. I want my fiance to fly KLM from Lagos with a stopover in Amsterdam. Now with the K-1 Visa do we need a Transit Visa or not? I read somewhere where someone needed a transit visa. Can someone tell me if we need this or not? Thank you in advance for your replies.

    [/quote

You will need a transit visa flying on KLM and Lufthansa. North American Airlines is the best route because their is a direct flight from Lagos to JFK in New York , and then you have to get a connecting flight to his final destination. The website is www.flynaa.com

  12. Does anybody know if I have to add information in the I-130 package showing a bonafide marriage. I am sending a copy of my marriage certificate and they are asking for proof of a bonafide marriage ie.. (joint account, joint tenancy, etc..) I got married in morocco and the only thing that I can show is the marriage certificate. She can not go on any account until she comes here. I want to know has anybody dealt with this issue. Please help!!

    Thanks

A copy of the marriage certificate is enough. When I filed fo rmy husband that is the only proof that I had. A happy a quick journey I hope for you.
