I can see that our joint tax transcripts "amount you own" for 2018 is 0, "refund" for 2017 is $-449, but "amount you own" for 2016 is $25. Does that mean we own "0" for the those 3 years, or we still own"$25"? My husband kind of remembers we paid those $25 with check while filing return, but not sure. Do I need to file the evidence for the payment $23 to IRS? Or it is too small to care.

Before filling, wants to make sure the transcripts are in good shape to file, will not affect citizenship application. What information should we check into or pay more attention in those transcripts pages? "Amount due " shows 0, or other important key items? Many thanks for advice.
Of course, not going to change anything on it, just if certain information do not meet requirement or possibly arise the doubt, then now will pay and talk to the immigrant lawyer, to prepare additional evidence, before submitting application.

Thanks. your answer is the same to what she heard from her immigrant lawyer today. It should not affect her citizenship application. She is going to file joint transcripts for past 3 years. Before filling, she wants to make sure the transcripts are in good shape to file. What information should she pay more attention in those transcripts? "Amount due " shows 0, or other important key items?

N400 form simple questions for newbabi😅
1. I am allowed to handwrite or type in black ink, or both to fill this form?
2. Part 5. A current physical address, dates of residence from .. to "present", can I fill "present"here, or fill the exact month date year I am filing it? I have been and will continue to live in my current place.
3. Part 8, 1: Date from .. to "present", can I fill "present"here, or fill the exact month date year I am filing it? I have been unemployed and will continue for a while.
Also, for this part, in past five years, if I went through employed, unemployed, employed, unemployed until now, should I just fill 2 period employed period information(there will be time gap there), or need to fill all 4 period information with home address for unemployed period. But there are just 3 period places provided in the form.
4. Part 9.1: if half day in US airport and my US home, half day on the flight between US and other country, should I count that day as one full day in US or not? Based on the instruction, it seems that should be counted one full day in US, but online video shows not.
2: How many trips have you taken outside the US in past 5 years? I flew from US to China, while I was in China, I traveled to Thailand, went back China.then came back to US from China. That is counted as one trip, or two trips?

My cousin is going to apply citizenship through marriage green card, her husband owns tons of IRS tax before marriage. After marriage she did not work, just her husband worked and ran his own business, they filed tax jointly, did not own any tax during joint years. IRS levy her husband's bank account twice. She did not receive any letters from IRS telling her she owns tax, just a couple of tax refund letter shows $0 or $125 check refund addressed to her or to them. When she was applying removing conditional green card last year, she just filed returns and transcripts requested via IRS website. In this case, her husband owning tax issue will affect her citizenship application approval? Some people say account transcript shows too much information, return transcript should be better, that is true? How should she prepare the tax files for this application and answer questions during interview?
-
The additional information on the back of removing condition approval letter makes me very confused "please save this form I-797 for your record. please note that simply filing an application, petition or request, or having an approved petition does not give the person it was filed for(also known as the beneficiary)permission to legally enter the US. It also does not grant any legal immigration status." Anyone knows how to explain this? Thanks.

So wonderful to have this group of people being with me on my I751 application journey, we hug, support, lift up, warm up each other, walk together toward to the exit light....VSC filer here from July 2018 , fingerprinted August 2018. never been transferred, no interview , no rfe, received "We ordered new card for EAC1819xxxx" update email from old site today, but nothing changed on the new site. What letters should I expect to see in my mailbox next? Just two letters, one for approval letter, another one for green card? How many days to wait until receiving them? Thank you.

That is great! Congratulations!

I am in New York. Just heard some people saying "Since immigration policy slightly changed, All I 751 applicants are required interview since last fall." Is that true? Hope to hear from experienced professionals.

1) Part 1-15, in care of name, is that okay to fill in my name and
address here? The reason that I am concerning because I can not find
anywhere to type in my address in the entire I 751 form. Usually, a
complete form requires applicant's address information.
2) I 751 instruction mentions " answer all the questions fully and
accurately" does that mean I should fill words in all the empty spaces,
such as N/A. etc. I am not allowed to leave any space blank. For
example, Part 5, we have no children, I just typed “N/A” in “1a, Child
1, family name” and left all the rest include Child 2, 3 blank. That is
incorrect. I should type N/A in all the empty spaces. -

I am from Brooklyn, NY. I-751 form instruction mentions “complete joint federal and state tax return”.
1) For 2015
We have ORIGINAL married filing SEPARATELY federal (no state) tax return and transcript.
We are preparing AMENDED married filing JOINT federal (and state) tax return, but no time to get transcript before submission date. Both show that income is HIGHER than minimum requirement.
2) For 2016
We have ORIGINAL married filing JOINT federal (no state) tax return and transcript.
We are preparing AMENDED married filing JOINT federal (and state) tax return, but no time to get transcript before submission date. Both show that income is LOWER than minimum requirement.
3) For 2017
We have the approved married filing joint extension letter.
We are working on married filing JOINT federal (and state) tax return, but no time to get transcript before submission date. If the income is lower than minimum. We could give a try talking to our CPA.
Overall, we have two choices for each year tax files, which choice do you suggest we submit for each year? Or not submit some of them?

I found applicants answering those basic questions differently online, please confirm.
In Form I-751:
1) Part 1-9, if I could not find my USCIS online account number, I leave it blank?
2) Part 1-15, in care of name, is that okay to fill in my name and address here?
3) Part 5, we have no children, should we fill in N/A, none, or leave it blank? I just typed “N/A” in “1a, Child 1, family name” and left Child 2, and all the rest blank.
4) Part 9, we do not have an interpreter, should we fill in N/A, none, or leave it blank? I just typed “N/A” in “1a, Interpreter’s family name”, and left all the rest blank.
5) Part 10, we do not have a preparer, should we fill in N/A, none, or leave it blank? I just typed “N/A” in “1a, preparer’s family name”, and left all the rest blank.

I am Brooklyn, NY. i-751 form instruction mentions “complete joint federal and state tax return”. What does that mean? tax return and transcript, or just tax return is fine? State tax return is required, or just federal tax return is fine?
How to check transcripts are in good shape to file?

I attached the copy of our payment check and that bank transaction record. Also the immigrant lawyer suggested including the account transcript for 2018 along with all of the tax transcripts. if the current one doesn’t show this then it’s no longer owed. It was paid at some point.
