  1. Hello,

Thanks for sharing this thread. just wanted to let you guys know that I filed my I-751 in June 2017, my GC expired on 8/4/17 so I filed the I-751 2 months before it expired. I got my I-797 NOA and have done my Biometrics appointment in June 2017. Since then I have been checking my status and it looks like California SC is so behind on their processing time. Today I checked they're processing cases submitted by Oct 15, 2016. My extension will expire in about 3 months. I didn't know that I had to wait a month before the extension letter expires to get the I-551 stamp. I made an appointment in Feb 2018 but they rejected it and it made sense. so it's May now, I'm hoping that the California SC can catch up on the applications while I'm waiting closer to July to get my I-551 stamp. It's kind of hard to apply for job with this situation. I'm renewing my passport this month too. My husband and I didn't hire lawyer so we're kind of worried on this process that it's taking so long.

Also, I'm considering to apply for naturalization while my CRI89 application is still pending. I'm residence since 7/30/2015 so 3 years after that I can apply for Naturalization and it can be filed 90 days before the 3rd anniversary? is that correct? and how complicated is it to finish the naturalization form?

thank you so much! I hope everyone is having a great year so far!
