  1. Okay so I am needing some guidance here. I don't see that this is a problem, but wanting to add ease of mind.

Evidence of support for the I-134 form require bank accounts, etc.

Let me say up front that my salary alone can support my fiance.

I have a bank account that has my money in it, but it's been under my father's account name for over 11 years. I was going to pull it out soon and move it to another account but never did. When I go to get the statements for the previous year it just has my father's name on the statement's and just my account nick name next to my account. I recently moved my funds to another account which shows my name on it. However, I have no previous year transactions because I moved it. What steps should I potentially take to avoid interview issues for my fiance IF this will even be a problem, because again my salary alone can support her. If this is confusing, let me know and I will try to explain further.

You won’t receive an official letter. Maybe an email if that. Rio takes forever. Don’t buy any plane tickets yet. You will lose your money. Rio never emails back either and there’s no number to call. Only thing you can do is wait. Patiently.

Oh and don’t trust any timeline they give you. It will be at least tripled the time.

I'm confused a little...our case is still at the NVC here in the States. What takes forever in Rio? (I know the mail can be long)

My fiance and I had the same issue. We didnt hear from the consulate in Rio until about 3 weeks after we had received the email from NVC stating our case number.  We emailed the consulate asking if they had received our case, and they replied the next day providing the next steps.  Hope this helps...

Well I haven't even received an email stating our case number. I called them about a week after they received our case from the service center to process for a case number. Upon calling and asking if they have a case number for us the guy said yes and read it to me. But I still haven't received a formal letter about the case...its been 12 days since the case number was established with the NVC, still no letter.

  4. My i-129f was approved April 2nd. The NVC received the case a couple weeks after. I called the NVC to see if we had a case number, we did. It was established on April 19th. Today, they have still not sent our information to the consulate in Rio. My fiance is getting all worked up over this because other Brazilian women have done the same thing that I have done and their file got sent immediately after (or close to the date). I can't really do anything at this point because on the approved i-797 form it specifically says to wait 30 days before contacting them...it's been 12 days.

If they already have a case number ready, why will they not send the file? Is anyone else having similar problems? Any words help at this point.
