Hello everyone. First time posting on this forum and I hope I am doing this right

I am the beneficiary of the I-129F petition (K-1 visa) and I currently live in Hong Kong. My case was approved on March 19th, and up til April 12th, the CEAC case status said my case is ready, which I assume it means that my case have arrived the HNK (Hong Kong) embassy. I have filled out the DS160 online as instructed by the NVC email, but I have NOT paid the visa fee. Also, US embassy in Hong Kong does not allow you to schedule the interview time on your own, they assign you a time which then you'll attend your interview. I called and asked the US embassy about what I should do now and when I should expect packet 3, but all the lady said is that they don't know when it will be sent, and they advice me to be patient.

My question is that until now, I have not received the packet 3 which contains the information for visa interview and the documents I will need to bring to the embassy when the time comes. Does anyone (especially individuals who have had their petition through the HNK embassy) knows what i should do now? How long should I wait for packet before I call again? Or should I try to pay the visa fee even though I cannot schedule the interview time?

Thanks for reading and I look forward to your replies

I have heard that Cenomar should be sent directly from PSA to hongkong US embassy. And that US embassy dont allow  cenomar(and HKPC) being handed during interview only the birth cert and other requirements needed.

    Am I right?

no, you will hand it to them on ur interview when they ask you for it. The only certificate that will be sent directly to the hk us embassy is the hk police clearance, and the rest u'll keep it until ur interview day..and the only papers you will send to the embassy is the document checklist and the notification of applicant readiness form included in the Packet 3 when you receive it. :)

i obtained my CENOMAR and my birth certificate through online, and delivered it to my home address in Philippines, and asked my friend to bring it here as she's coming back next week. You don't need to submit both documents to the US embassy, u'll be taking it during the interview. :)

you can actually request for CENOMAR and Birth Cert. and deliver it to HK, but it will take 4-6weeks.

Have you done fill up the DS- 160 and also paid the visa fee? I already print out the MRV slip and getting ready to pay at 7/11. Is it ok if i pay my visa fee now even i havent recieve my packet 3? Is there any expiry date the payment reciept

I haven't paid it yet, though i already printed out the ds-160 confirmation page. I'm not sure about when to pay the visa fee, but i think it should be fine. :)

With regards to the CENOMAR. She let her relatives to get it for her with her autho. Letter and passport copy then the relatives send it directly to the US embassy in hongkong. Am i correct?

Hi, CENOMAR and Birth Certificate can be obtained through online, and it will be delivered to her current physical address, or to her home address in Philippines, like what i did.

Hello, have you got your packet 3 yet? Im still waiting for my packet 3. My status updated April 25 was "READY"

Hi, yea i just got it yesterday 😆 i sent an email to visa section, and they told me that they sent out the packet on 12th April. What happened was, the mailing address that my fiancé provided on the I-129F was incomplete. I gave them my complete address and they sent a duplicate of the packet. You should try to contact them. :)

you should definitely try to email or call them and see what they says

they are very responsive, just provide some personal information and Im definitely they can help you

Only the cover letter does, but the document checklist doesn't

If you are interviewing at the hong kong embassy, maybe we can contact more often? because they are not very many HK vjers here :/

yea, will contact them soon. :/
