I have worked as a paralegal and more than well equipped to do the K1 process from start to finish completely on my own. I chose to pay the reasonable cost of a well known visa service and it's worth every dollar for me. I would make the same decision to use a this visa service in a heartbeat. I have recommended it to 2 other petitioners both are very satisfied for the money spent on the service.
For me it makes the process that much easier and leaves me time (which is money for me) to do
other things like focus on a long distance relationship. If you can afford it use a reputable service to
the K1 visa then do the AOS on your own if you want.

Anyone have any feedback on a K1 hung up at National Visa Center. I have been told that processing at NVC takes up to 2 months but unless I'm mistaken I have seen most cases leave NVC within a week or so. If you have any 411 on the time it usually takes to get through NVC please share...

Having the petition reviewed 6 times by a different pair of eyes is helpful and much less time consuming for me. The visa service that I use has an office in Manila where my fiance can call, email or stop in person to ask any question at any time. Again, that's convenient and invaluable to me. All of the forms and links that I may need are readily available in one place and often directed to me via email which makes finding further instructions and website much easier... Any questions about status or helpful procedures are at my fingertips without searching the google machine... As I stated for me time is money...
