1- Select no. They will understand what it entails

2- You need to fill in your ex spouse personal information and last known address - It is basic name address bla bla

3- It doesn't matter. Blank or N/A, again they will understand

4- No, your ex spouse doesn't have to fill part 8, leave it blank. This is a single petition.

Thank you very much for your help!

  2. I have a few questions about filling in the I-751 form as a divorcee (my first and only marriage) I've read through the instructions provided, but I'm still a little confused. If anyone could help me, that'd be greatly appreciated.

    (1) Do I have to check either box for question 21and 23 of part 1? (If you are married, is this a different marriage than the one through which you gained conditional resident status?)

    (2) Since I checked box 1.d. and I am requesting a waiver/individual filing request, does my ex-spouse have to fill in any part of Part 4? There is an option for 'former spouse', so I suppose I would fill it in on his behalf?

    (3) I don't have children, so do I have to write N/A in every single section for Part 5, or do I leave everything blank?

    (4) Does my ex-spouse have to fill out or provide

information for any part of Part 8? I don't quite understand the 'note' part ("If you are filing based on claims of having been battered or subjected to extreme cruelty waiver or individual filing, you are not required to have the spouse's or individual listed in Part 4's signature".) Does this only apply to those who checked boxes 1.e. or 1.f. of Part 3?

    Thank you in advance

  3. Hi,

I am currently on a conditional green card (which I received a few months ago). I need to fill in the AR-11 change of address form, as I very recently moved. I know it might be a dumb question, but do I need to choose 'yes' for the question: "Is this change of address for an application or petition currently in progress"? And if so, what form number do I need to choose for the case information. Would it be 1485? As that is the case type listed on my most recent letter. I don't know if that was my case type before I got the conditional green card, or if that is still what it would be now? Sorry if the explanation is confusing. This whole thing confuses me so, so much.

  4. Hi,

I had my interview at the US embassy in London on the 5th of June for my K1 visa. They hadn't yet received my medical results, but didn't say that was a problem. I had my interview and at the end I asked "Oh, is that everything"? and the woman interviewing me smiled and said "yes". I took that to mean I've been approved?
It's now been 11 days and I've not received my passport back (also, do I receive the 'package' - that is, the envelope I'm not to open - at the same time?) I've read that it can take longer,  but I wonder whether I should have yet received an email by the courier company to say when it should arrive by? Also, when I check on the DS-160 checker, my status is listed as 'ready'. Should it not be 'issued', as some people have said theirs is? I'm getting worried now not actually knowing whether I've been approved or not....

  5. Hello,

In the list of documents to bring, it asks for: 'letter or email you received from the Consular Section'. What exactly does that one look like? I can't work out which one it is of all the emails I've received from the embassy/consular/immigration sections.

    Thank you

  6. Thank you for your reply.
I'm still a bit confused, unfortunately. I recieved the email on the 12th of April saying that the embassy in London has approved my request for expedited processing of my immigrant visa application and gave me a Case ID / NVC Case Number and also told me to fill in the DS-160 form then. So I completed that on the 18th of April and recieved my application ID. But I've not had any letters through the post at all, or any other sort of communication. Am I right in understanding you mean that it might take a while for my DS-160 to get seen?
Sorry for all the questions. The more I read, the more confused I seem to get.

  7. Hello,

I filled in and completed my DS-160 form on the 18th April after having received an e-mail to say my immigration visa case has been expedited, but it's still showing my status as 'not ready'. I haven't received any sort of letter from the embassy yet either. Is it normal to wait this long? Should I be booking my medical yet? This whole thing is confusing me so much.
