  2. After her arrival in the U.S., it is best that you guys get married in the U.S. and apply for AOS. You will need advance parole in order for her to leave the country. You can use this website as reference on how to apply for both AOS and advanced parole.

If she leaves the US without advance parole or a greencard, then she will not be able to re-enter the US.

    Best of luck!

  3. My wife and I went to the doctor today to get her I-693 supplement filled out. She already got immunizations for polio, Tentanus, Influenza, and Hepatitis in Jakarta. MMR was postponed when she got her medical in Jakarta because of the chance that she might be pregnant. Today, the doctor charged us $325 for a turberculosis skin test and HIV test and MMR, which is again postponed because we still don't know if she is pregnant. Did anyone else pay this much money just to get an I-693 for filled out by a doctor or did they just overcharge me?????

  4. Hey all,

My wife and I were married yesterday and now we are ready to begin another phase of this long process in AOS. I noticed the fees are going up at the end of the month so I want to apply as soon as I can to avoid pay the $1000+. My question is, my wife does not have an SSN yet and she is planning to apply for one on Monday. And I hear it takes at least 2 weeks to receive the card in the mail. Can she apply for AOS without a SSN? I know on form I-485 it asks for one. Thanks in advance for your help.

  5. There is no way of tracking the NVC's handling of the visa petition. Once I received my approval I sent them an email regarding my petition and gave them my receipt number. The email is NVCInquiry@state.gov. The thing is, they took a while to respond. I got an email from the embassy in Jakarta saying they received my petition and about a week later the NVC emailed me back telling me they sent my petition to the beneficiary's country.

  6. My hun had her visa interview in Jakarta this morning. Everything went well. The interviewer said everything is okay, but she requested more evidence on our communications. The thing is we never communicate via email or writing letters. So I can't provide that type of evidence. We usually just text message eachother and I'd call her with a phone card several times a week. The lady asked her to come back with evidence of our communications and bring it to the visa window, there would be no more interview.

My problem is the text messages that are outgoing on my cell phone bill does not state where the text messages are going, it just says international text and about 700 $.20 charges for each text.

With the phone cards, I buy them off this site, www.callingcardplus.com, I can print off all the phone cards I bought for the last couple of months, but again even with a list of phone cards, dates, and pin numbers, it does not state to what location the phone cards were used to call. I am also gonna supply her with credit cards statements that show charges to that phone card site. I just hope this would suffice. Boy, I'm worried

  7. I made a video clip of older women shaking their booty to dangdut music. My friends here in America think its so hilarious. They were like so that's what you call "clubbing" in indonesia. Anyway, maybe i should post it on youtube. See what kind of comments it gets.

  8. Hey all,

My hun just had her medical in Jakarta, Indonesia. Everything was pretty basic except for the vaccinations that were required. She said they were quite painful! The gave her vaccinations for polio, tetanus, influenza, and hepatitis B. She was supposed to have an MMR also, but the doctor said to postpone since she wants to have a baby! :) .. Anyhow, I was wondering if this is all the required vaccinations. I remember as a child growing up and going to school I had at least 10 vaccination shots. I just thought there would be more. I was just wondering what every one elses experiences were with their medical exams.... Thanks All!
