No they do not clear your paperwork the day of the medical. Your blood draw gets sent to a lab and has to come back. Lately it's about 2 weeks for your medical results to be in your file at the embassy. At the interview they will tell you approved pending medical if their are no other issues. They will not finish up your case the day the medical arrives so some extra days for them to get back to your case because everything was not in order on the day you interviewed (medical missing).

You will know it's a done deal when you check CEAC status and it says issued. That means the visa is printed and in your passport. You'll get it in hand about 3 days later.

2 weeks for the medical results In London? The embassy said upto 5 working days but usually before to me? I had my interview on 10th n have my medical coming up on Friday I hope it’s not 2 weeks 😱

  2. I had my interview on 10th August and the first medical appointment I could get was 24th August!!! So at my interview they said it’s approved pending my medical and all being well with my medical I will get my passport with my visa inside delivered to my house as quickly as they can. There’s no way you will get your visa without your medical but things could be worse you could have to wait 2 weeks for your medical after your interview 😊

They have kept my passport and I didn’t get a refusal 221g or anything in London the medical center send the info to the embassy who will print the visa and send my passport so all being well on Friday I shall be waiting for my passport with visa in the next few weeks 😆
