Satisfactory medical exam is a requirement for a visa to be issued. Can your medical exam can be processed and sent to the consulate before your interview? Approval is never really known until you see that "issued" status on CEAC website.
I'm not sure how long it takes them to process the outcome of the medical. Hopefully the same day?
Does anybody know if they give you the all-clear and paperwork to prove it the same day as the medical?

The results of your interview absolutely will be conditional on the results of your medical......sorry.
So they won't give me an answer at the interview, I will have to wait until they send my passport back in the mail?

I received my interview date of September 21st. So I called up to book a medical and they said the soonest appointment was September 20th. I asked if this would be okay and she said it was, but it wasn't very convincing. Can anyone confirm if this will be okay, as I have read that we have to take a sealed envelope from the medical, to our embassy interview.
I also don't want to find out at the interview that my decision will be 'conditional' depending on the results of my medical. Has anyone had this? Where they haven't had a decision due to medical not being sent to them yet?
Any help would be great, just to put my mind at ease. Thanks.

During this 'maintenance' I received two emails from NVC. One was the standard email saying there was a change, and that I should read my messages on CEAC. The other email said...
QuoteThe National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas.
NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in LONDON, GRBR to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable).
For people that have received their interview date, is the message on CEAC containing my interview date, or would I receive the date of interview in an email.
I guess I want to know whether I should be calling to ask what the date is, or if it's normal and that I should wait to hear from them again.
Thanks.

Hi,
We've been looking through other timelines similar to ours, and it seems that a lot of people are being expedited. I understand you can apply to be expedited if there's a valid reason, but it seems like there's so many. Is this something we can look into doing? We have just submitted IV and AOS to NVC, so awaiting the interview date.
Or... Are non-expedited cases getting processed in around 2 months, as per the timelines I've seen. In which case we won't bother.
Thanks,

I’ve just been approved my CR1 Visa, and I’m looking for the best healthcare / insurance option to get when I first move out there until I find a job (or I can be moved into my wife’s healthcare)
Would travel insurance work? Any personal experiences appreciated.
