  1. My fiance had his interview Dec. 20.  He was sent to a very stern gentleman for his interview.  He drilled him much farther beyond the usual questions, but my fiance answered them all.  Even questions about my ex, and the CO even asked him if he knew my ex, I think in disbelief that he knew all the answers.  Eventually the CO started asking some ridiculous questions like what type of character do I play in World of Warcraft.  My fiance replied he didn't know, as he didn't play it and didn't understand it.

When asked for proofs, he presented him with a large binder organized by type of proofs.  The CO saw photos of me with his family, my son with us in Morocco, video screenshots of us, along with my fiance chatting with my family here on cam, phone call logs, emails, postal mail proofs, social media posts/messages, emails, affidavits of support from several friends and family (both sides).  The CO asked questions about if that was my son, his parents, etc.  But he skimmed through everything then gave him a 221g requesting further proof of communication.  He didn't ask for his passport, but we held onto hope, as it wasn't the generic 221g.

The case stayed in AP until 1/21 when it changed to refused, with no email or such.  I emailed the consulate and also tried to call the US number given in the auto-response and they finally replied today that it's being returned to USCIS.  We're absolutely gutted, of course.  I'm chronically ill and my health has been deteriorating rapidly in the past 2 years.  This puts such a hardship on me, as I'm also facing surgeries this year, one of them on my spinal cord.  I work from home, so luckily, this doesn't impact my income.

I know it's extremely rare, but I've a few posts here on K1 petitions getting reaffirmed once they are returned to USCIS.  I'm not the type to give up without feeling as though I've done everything in my power to try to help our situation.  I know the statistics.  I know it's a long shot.

Is there a process for trying to get a petition reaffirmed?  Any suggestions (from anyone who's had success in this or has been through trying to get their petition reaffirmed) would be appreciated.  I tried to reply to the email asking for them to reconsider due to the hardship it would place on me.  I tried calling the number provided herein the US and she said it's up to the consulate to reply to my e-mail.

I apologize if there is something here that lays this out but I didn't find it.  I'm an absolute crying mess right now and trying my best to think straight and present our situation coherently.  :(

    Thank you in advance.

De-Vi , how long did you have to wait to receive instructions from the day the embassy received your K1 case and it said “ready” on CEAC. They received my case on November 20th and I am very worried it will take a long time after reading others posts....

Expect 5-6 months or longer before you receive your appointment email with the instructions.

I used Dr. Abdelaziz Janah, and quiet honestly I would not recommend him unless you absolutely have to go with him, not only is he rude but also both of his assistants are.

He had found a few bad reviews for him so he didn't even try to call him.  He tried Mounia but the receptionist was rude, as well.

  4. Good afternoon!  We received notification of our appointment from the Casablanca Consulate today.  The doctors allowed for the medical exam are:

    Dr. Nezha El Fihri

    Dr. Abdelaziz Janah

    Dr. Berrada Balkhayat Mounia

Could any of you who used one of these doctors (or your fiance did) recommend one that you had a good experience with?  My fiance will be calling tomorrow to set up an appointment.  I've tried searching here to see if I could find any glowing (or horrible) reviews of them with no results other than what to expect that day (all day, lots of running around) and costs.  I'm looking more for ease of scheduling, the exam process as a whole, experience with the doctor's bedside manner, etc.  Most of the reviews I've been able to find are for Dr. El Fihri's cost and most of these are 2016-2018.

    Thanks in advance. :)

  5. Good afternoon - What is the best way to expedite papers to a smaller town in Morocco?  What happens if I send it by DHL or Fedex and there is no location in that town - does it arrive to Casa (or Rabat or Kech, etc.) and then the Moroccan postal service transports it to their town?  My fiance lives in a small town approximately 1.5 hours from Ouarzazate.

Thanks in advance.  I tried searching for threads here but it seemed most that I found applied to people in larger cities in Morocco.

  6. USCIS recently received our K1 RFE response.  The new site has no updates since they've received the form.  However, on the old site, it updated that they received our RFE response and would resume working on our case.

I checked today and the status updated again, but it's for an incorrect reason.  It's stating that they updated the name on our I-129F.  Our RFE was not for our names or any sort of demographical error.

Is this common?  I know the website isn't reliable, but just curious if this has happened to anyone else with an incorrect status like this.  Our status never updated once we were issued the RFE on either site.

Thanks in advance and my apologies if this is posted in an incorrect area or others have asked this question before.
