  1. Hey guys... I was just wondering...

Of those who were approved without an interview, did you front-load your AOS package with evidence like joint bank accounts, photos, joint utility bills, insurance/beneficiary info, etc.?

No, I did not send any photos. Just the marriage certificate + evidence for the I-864, which included the tax information for me (the sponsor). I also recall making copies of his visa, I-94, send two passport photos, and the other things listed on the instructions, but nothing extra.

  2. OK. Just got the text/email today:

    AOS I-485

On June 30, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Thankful! The last transfer/touch was 4/19 to CSC - no interview. Originally mailed the packet 3/28.

Hoping for a positive result for all!

  3. We are having a wedding celebration/party in my hometown March 5 (within his 90 days).

Went to a small, local bar that I used to frequent downtown and asked him to keep the event room open for that date.

Mom and Aunt sent invitations to my close friends and family. If so much time has passed that I didn't know how to reach them, they didn't make the list.

My friend was ordained online and ordered her credentials. Party starts at 6 p.m., she will marry us around 6:30, then buffet, drinks and dancing! The only thing that was important to me was open bar and good music. Mom's friend from work will DJ.

We are cutting it a bit close to the 90 day mark, but it is within 90 days. So it is. We sent invites to some of his friends and family, but because of distance, cost and VISA restrictions, they will more than likely not make it...

  4. Barbados Embassy -

We are sending packet 3 soon and I am confused!

    www.barbados.usembassy.gov/iv-k_1_visas.html

Instructions from the Barbados website (above) state the following steps after beneficiary receives instructions(Packet3):

-Complete and send in DS-230 Part I

    -Begin assembling necessary documents

Do not send anything to the Embassy. Bring your documents to the interview. Before making an appointment, make sure you have all the necessary documents.

It goes on to say that the DS156 (2copies), DS156K and DS157 should also be brought to interview.

So, is the DS-230 the only document sent back to Barbados before interview?

Also, does he (beneficiary) complete 1 DS 156 ONLINE and make a copy (with barcode)vs. completing two separate online forms - I assume so, but just checking.

Thanks so much for any assistance. I read so much that I think I confused myself!

Anyone deal with Barbados Embassy recently?
