Congrats!
Thanks! I've been watching this forum, and starting to wonder... But, everyone's case is different.
-
OK. Just got the text/email today:
AOS I-485
On June 30, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
Thankful! The last transfer/touch was 4/19 to CSC - no interview. Originally mailed the packet 3/28.
Hoping for a positive result for all!
-
And they are supposed to be processed faster except so many have been sent to CSC that they are backlogged and now it's actually faster to have an interview!
Cool, thanks for the insight. Just wondering.
-
What happens when it is transferred to CSC? Our case was on 4/19, but haven't heard anything since...
-
Congratulations!!! That is quite a wait!
-

My husband went through the same thing yesterday.
They provided the immunizations that were lacking. We will go pick up the sealed envelope tomorrow. Approx $200 as he did not need all.

We are having a wedding celebration/party in my hometown March 5 (within his 90 days).
Went to a small, local bar that I used to frequent downtown and asked him to keep the event room open for that date.
Mom and Aunt sent invitations to my close friends and family. If so much time has passed that I didn't know how to reach them, they didn't make the list.
My friend was ordained online and ordered her credentials. Party starts at 6 p.m., she will marry us around 6:30, then buffet, drinks and dancing! The only thing that was important to me was open bar and good music. Mom's friend from work will DJ.
We are cutting it a bit close to the 90 day mark, but it is within 90 days. So it is. We sent invites to some of his friends and family, but because of distance, cost and VISA restrictions, they will more than likely not make it...

Yeah! Love to see people having success! Can't wait to join you all!
-
I call the DOS at least every two days. I'm gettin a little preoccupied! Can't wait to hear the actual date!
-
Congrats! Can't wait to be in your boat!
-
What does DOS stand for??
Oh wait.. Department of State...
Can we call that number regardless of the embassy that we are dealing with? Bridgetown, in my case.

Thanks so much! Only one form seemed too easy. I was going nuts tryin to compare all my notes. Congrats to you! Thanks, again.

Barbados Embassy -
We are sending packet 3 soon and I am confused!
www.barbados.usembassy.gov/iv-k_1_visas.html
Instructions from the Barbados website (above) state the following steps after beneficiary receives instructions(Packet3):
-Complete and send in DS-230 Part I
-Begin assembling necessary documents
Do not send anything to the Embassy. Bring your documents to the interview. Before making an appointment, make sure you have all the necessary documents.
It goes on to say that the DS156 (2copies), DS156K and DS157 should also be brought to interview.
So, is the DS-230 the only document sent back to Barbados before interview?
Also, does he (beneficiary) complete 1 DS 156 ONLINE and make a copy (with barcode)vs. completing two separate online forms - I assume so, but just checking.
Thanks so much for any assistance. I read so much that I think I confused myself!
Anyone deal with Barbados Embassy recently?
-
Is your petition a Direct Consular Filing?
It is a I-129F Fiance Visa. The petition is now at the Embassy in Barbados. We have to submit the next round of papers and then wait for an interview...
-
Packet 3 was mailed to the wrong address, but it is OK. The woman at the Embassy was quite nice and I asked a bunch of questions while I had her on the phone!
Hope everyone is doing well.
-
Yeah!!! Can't wait to post this news myself!!! Good for you two!!!!
-
I so try to not think about this....
-
Congrats! That is exciting news! Have a happy and successful journey!
-
Cool! I'm going to call tonight to check the status of our case! This is all quite exciting...

Thank you! I was just looking for the answer to this question. I submitted a petition in 2007 (for the same person), and it expired. Now we are more ready and trying again. I am am happy to know that I only need one form and am not goign crazy.

No, I did not send any photos. Just the marriage certificate + evidence for the I-864, which included the tax information for me (the sponsor). I also recall making copies of his visa, I-94, send two passport photos, and the other things listed on the instructions, but nothing extra.
