There were some hiccups along the way, my test/oath appointment was cancelled due to systems being down. Then on the reschedule there was a snow storm so I was able to complete my interview, but was not able to do my oath. Finally, I took my oath at Westwood NJ at a small library. It was a nice small group. I believe there were 17 of us representing 11 countries. Interesting tidbit: I was classified as my birth country rather than my citizenship country. All those still waiting, hang in there, you're time will come.

I filed early June 2017 by mail. In line for the Interview July 2017. Interview letter in January 2018. Interview and oath on February 27th. As you see, you might still have to wait a bit. Hang in there,  use distractions as much as you can, and have faith that your turn will ultimately come! 

Thanks, from your timeline it would look rather hopeful.

Hi all,

could some of you that have a better grip on the processing timelines, give me some kind of a guess when it is likely I might finally have my interview?

I filed by mail (hating myself for that), application received 9/20/2017 and in line for the interview since 10/24/2017. It is the Newark office. Any guesses? I was so hoping to schedule travel during the summer but this is such a big unknown. :-(

Hi, My N-400 that I paper filed was received 9/20 and I have been in line for interview since 10/24/17. I am curious if June/July/August/September paper filers are being notified of their interviews for the Newark office. I am trying to plan the summer and it is really hard with this major unknown. Do you think it would be safe for me to be away the second part of June? Thank you. Eva
