I completed the interview today, went very smoothly (10min total), nicest officer I have ever come across. good luck to all. Oath is on 1/17.

Hi Bandaria, please let us know when your oath ceremony is scheduled, I think it will be the one on January 17th for all of December interviewees. 

"by any law enforcement officer", I would think parking tickets are issued by parking enforcement (city officers), not law-enforcement (in most cases, at least).. Unless you're someone who collected 10's of parking tickets, I would not worry about it.

It seems in San Jose, CA, there are no scheduled oath ceremonies during the month of December (at the usual place, Campbell Heritage Theater), does anyone know of a different location where San Jose filer can take the oath? I do not have strong reasons to ask for expedited oath. Anyone has experience with this? BTW, my interview is not until next month, but I am pushing my luck, I know

added my interview date.. I checked Campbell's oath location, alas, there is no oath ceremony scheduled during December, the next one will be January 18, 2019. Now, I would love to start 2019 fresh as a U.S. Citizen! Does anyone know whether there is a way to take the oath at another location, even in a different city (LA)? Of course, this is all assuming the interview goes smoothly

YAY! My DHS portal still hasn't updated and says the old status, so not sure if I'll find out my interview date prior to actually getting the interview letter in the mail.

Congrats! Let's hope mine follow in a week.. since others asked, here are my dates: I sent my application online on 4/3, fingerprint 4/13, and that's about it  awaiting the interview scheduling!

you're right, the code I have is 5, but so is my wife's notice has code 5, though they did take all 10 fingers for her.. Anyways, I am glad that this is standard procedure and not that the technician just forgot to do the other set of fingers..

when I went for my biometric appointment, they only took the 4 fingers on the right hand, nothing on the left hand, and no thump prints! Is this normal? for everything else I did (e.g., GC, Global Entry, ..etc), they always took 10 fingers..  Any similar experience with biometric collected this way? 

p.s., I have all 10 fingers  not missing any

I applied online at around 2:30am on 1/3, since 1/3 is the first day I was eligible to file an N-400. However, the priority date listed on my application is 1/2.

 

We shall see what happens. I'm still awaiting my interview. 

did you try to contact USCIS to correct this? I emailed them, but got a canned response, nothing useful. 

Please let me know how it goes with you, since it seems you applied three months before me.

off topic, but maybe someone has an input that can help me understand whether this is a problem

Hi all, not sure if someone ran into a similar issue, I am very interested to know their experience.. 

I am eligible to apply on 04/02/2018, and I did submit my online application exactly on that date (at around 12:10am Pacific Time on 04/02; I was going out of town for a week early in the morning that day, in case you're wondering why would I not wait till the morning).. The weird thing is the following

Priority Date on NoA is showing 04/01/2018

Receipt Date : 04/02/2018

and when I download the application snapshot from the online portal, I see clearly the application is e-Signed on 04/02/2018, which is the correct filing date.. I am not sure why the priority date is showing 04/01/2018 and whether this will cause a problem, since my eligibility date to file is 04/02.. Of course, we all know the system anyway does not let you submit your application and pay the fees unless you're eligible to apply...

If someone went into a similar situation, I would really appreciate to know how things unfolded.. I know of several filers who got their application (paper N400) rejected because they filed earlier than eligibility date (based on wrong calculations, etc), so definitely do not want this to happen to me, when I followed everything to the T.
