Of course it's not illegal. I couldn't go work in the UK. Also, there are postings on a lot of jobs in the EU that say you must be a citizen of the EU.

If Proactive works for you then you don't have real acne. With real acne you get large infections or lesions under the skin which you cannot pop. If you have real acne then you need an oral antibiotic to clear up the infection under your skin. I've been through this myself.
Dermatologists will tell you that Proactive will not do anything for you. You need an antibiotic. Also, remember that when you're taking an antibiotic birth control pills don't work well and you will burn more easily in the sun. Sometimes, it will take the antibiotic a few weeks to get into your system.
Also, be careful about what you put on your skin. Use Cetaphil (this is a non-pore clogging wash) to wash your fash. Don't put anything harsh on it like over the counter acne medication. It just irritates your skin and doesn't help it in the long run. I know how painful real acne can be.
Tell your doctor that that your medication is not working. He/she can prescibe something different. Tetracyline worked for me for a while but now I'm on something different and stronger. It works a lot more quickly. However, I'ved been warned not to get pregnant while taking it because it may cause birth defects.
Also, there is a medication that "cures" acne but it's given out sparingly because some studies say it can cause depression and if you have a history of depression or even if others in your family have had it then then many doctors won't presibe it. A senator or congressman's son purposefully crashed his plane while on it and they blamed the medication for his depression. You may have to see a specicalist/dermatologist for it. If memory serves me it's called "acutane".
Good luck!

One of the reasons is that there is a lot of wildlife in Virginia. People hit deer and bear, not to mention smaller animals. Hitting animals that large not only kills them it can kill someone in the car or cause a lot of material damage. I doubt you would have to worry too much about that in Alexandria. Wildlife has been killed out or run out of that area.
i don't know why either, every place i've seen in virginia you can't drive the speed limit anyways due to congestionGood point!
I actually get to reverse commute on 66 and head west out of DC as everyone else is trying to get in. So once I get past the Beltway, traffic in the left lane is usually moving at least 70-75. Speed limit is 55, but you will get run over even in the right lane if you try and do that.
Yeah, I may have to move up to West Virginia Clarky and Tarah!
-
Oh, my goodness. Then you really have not been to Virginia. I live here. It's mostly rural. Maybe you've only been to D.C. which is not really in Virginia after all?
Ok..... but why?Why is it so important to VA to enforce speed limits?

Old, widowed, and ill often have to be taken care of by the government. My grandmother is old widowed and ill and my grandfather and family have payed into the system for years to ensure that she would be taken care of. She has cancer and cannot even afford the health care she needs because too many people are taking out of it. One person can't put in and have 10 people take out. That's not right but still it happens.

I disagree. It is not about immigrant's family's needs. My family and country is under no obligation whatsoever financially, emotionally, or otherwise to worry about extended family members of a person who has been allowed to immigrate here. How much do you expect?!
It is not just about what immigrants can give US. It is about immigrants' family needs too.But how could they compete if they are 60 or 70 years old and know minimal English? There's many such applicants who have parents in the above category. That's the kind of immigrant the USA is probably wanting to keep out....Harsh as it sounds, what do thet have to offer the USA?
I think a cap would be unfair to parents who are old, widowed and ill and canot live alone in home country. And why exactly should the USA worry about that???

I like your "Penguins" and what's that chocolate orange thing called? I don't think there is anything like it here.
There is a trend going toward better chocolate. Even Hershey's is making a Special Dark chocolate bar now but the kids seem to like the milk chocolate.
Good chocolate=Nutella (Italian, I guess) That stuff speeds up my heart (which may be due to the fact that I ate half a jar with a spoon)

I am marrying a UK citizen. We are going through the I-129F process and will live here in the US at least for a while. I am wonderng what it takes, if even possible, to get a British passport.
When I visit his family do I go stand in the "tourist" line? Can I go through with him? I'm assuming in order to gain citizenship or permanent residency I would have to be living in the UK and I would have to go through a similar process to which he is going through here to live here in the US with me. I know our children would have British citizenship.
Also, what happens if we want to move to England? Will we have to be separated for long? It's very tough, as you know, and once is enough. Just need info.
Thanks,
Sheila

If you committ fraud you risk the chance that you will be deported and banned from coming into the United States for many years as it should be. I think this is more a question of moral judgement and respect for the laws of the country that you are trying to be a part of. Either get married as you promised you said you would (your visa was granted on your promise to do this) or do the K-1 visa again. You keep asking questions because you don't like the answer others are giving you.

Woah, if they hadn't found him out and he'd made a successful attempt and actually murdered someone he would have had a pretty good alibi. "I was home the whole time! The police can confirm it."

My fiance has lived all over including Seoul. Actually we met in Seoul. He's British and is going through this process of criminal background checks. He is calling the nearest embassies or consulates. For example he is in Oman now and he's calling the Korean, German, Portugese, Bangladeshi, and a few others.
Some countries don't even give one! He's a little worried that he might have to actually fy to a couple of these countries. Sure! We have plenty of money! LOL I hope there's a way around that. He's working in the Persian Gulf area so I'm a little nervous about it all.
I just applied for a home loan and they noticed that he's been wiring me money from that area (to help me buy the house) and it just got a lot more complicated. They are demanding all kinds of information and want him to send various paperwork and make sworn statements....that frankly is none of their business. He's not on the deed or the loan application. Is it just corporate greed, an overreaction or are we elementary school teachers in Virginia on a terrorist watch list?
Okay, now I'm just being a smart alec but you all know my frustration with the whole process. Anyway, all of you be careful wiring money into your sweetie's bank account. Maybe Western Union would be better.
If you find there is one source you can contact about these criminal background checks or something to make it easier please e-mail me. Anyway, I hope my info at least helped a little.
Good day all,I'm a 28 year old Canadian male. As a background, I'm engaged to a lovely American girl and we are planning the move to the United States shortly. I have two university degrees (bachelor and masters) and am an accomplished journalist. I have no criminal record of any kind.
We have no preference on how and when we marry, but would like to speed the process. We assume that the K1 is fastest. Are we correct?
I've lived in Seoul, Singapore and Alberta, Canada. I see that for the K1 visa, I need a criminal record check from all places lived. Is this right?
So, for those of you who have lived in many nations, how do I get a check from Canada or Korea while outside of those nations? I live in Singapore now, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Is there one aggregated check I can use? INTERPOL? Or, are Canadians under a different set of rules?
Thanks all,
BD.

I've read about this and some of us will be caught in the middle. The increased fees are supposed to speed up the process but that will take some time (a year or two before it actually speeds up). Those of us filing now will not get much benefit of the "Speedy" process but unfortunately will have to pay for it. That's what I've read anyway. Anyone else have any information on this?

Real butter or margarine? Anyway, when I went to visit my fiance's parents in the UK and his mother made me a cheese sandwich with margarine spread on it as a condiment. Of course I pretended to like it.
Also, my fiance drinks hot tea when it's a hundred degrees outside. Wouldn't this be bad for you? I drink cool water and lots of it.
I went to the movie theater in Liverpool and got some popcorn. At my first bite i noticed it had sugar on it and not salt. I almost spit it onto the person in front of me. The worst thing about it is that you think you are getting one thing and then you get another. (My mother says this is what marriage is like, LOL) If he had told me beforehand then it wouldn't have been so utterly terrible. Personally, I think he enjoyed it. Payback is Hell.
anything that has corn syrup in it. If it's too sweet, don't eat it! We don't eat anything processed and only eat at restaurants that are part of a "Fresh Food" network. The other problem over here is the sodium content. It's very scary! The only thing I buy that comes out of a can is tuna in spring water. Everything else we make from scratch. We're very lucky enough to have a good local co-op (oh, how I wish we had a Trader Joes!) and a vegetable garden in the summer months which almost feeds us through the winter (we freeze the veg). The only other shop we use is the offie. Supermarkets are for buying loo roll now. Nowt much else I want in there.
I look at the back of most things. If it has HFCS in it....I tend to avoid it. The stuff without it IS there, you just have to look very hard. I have found some bread that doesn't have it in, plus I have my own breadmaker, which helps.

John and Sheila are 04/07/07 United Kingdom
Can you add us?
Thanks
I've been looking for ways to to keep myself occupied while waiting for my petition to be processed, so I compiled this list of I-129F VSC filers with NOA1s waiting for NOA2s. The data is from the VJ.com timelines, and specifically from the reports available on the timelines. The number I have listed to the left of names is simply the sort order based on NOA1 date.Obviously, we have no idea what order VSC will process NOA2s (once they start processing them for us again) but its something to help pass the time.

You're not the only one! My NOA1 was on May 7th. I've been checking every day. I have nothing...not even a touch! They just tell you to wait but it's extememly difficult when you see people getting theirs pushed through in a month or so and they've filed theirs after yours. There is absolutely nothing suspicious or difficult about mine. We've known each other for 12 years. Have worked together. Met each other's families. I feel like it's been accidently thrown in the trash or something!

I wish everyone would follow the current procedures and law. If they did it wouldn't take us nearly as long to get processed or cost nearly as much. I can understand the temptation but it's not going to kill us...... even though it feels like it! LOL
I haven't done anything illegal (other than traffic violations or drinking before I was 21) in my life.I at no time said that I planned to do anything illegally.
I stated that there is certain temptation due to the extreme fees...just as there is temptation to stay in Russia (or Sweden) where I was actually quite comfortable and didn't have to eat grecha to survive.
Besides, this is the longest period that we've been apart (2 weeks) in the last 4 years.
More specifically, I saw that this created a burden on the people attempting the process (myself included), and wanted to know if anyone else thought that these new fees would possibly promote an increase in visa fraud.
In my case, it would be asking for it...as I noted above, I've already talked to officials about it. (Although, one did say that we should have just tried it and it probably worked--go figure!)
However, I wouldn't suggest the illegal route. Undoubtably, in your case, you're angry that I might think about such because you didn't do it.
Without bias, I can say that I might have done things the faster and less legal way if I were to do it again.
But still...I think that fees to keep people apart, plus a waiting period (especially spouses, which have a longer waiting time), is somewhat inhumane. But, you know, it's all in the name of national paranoia.

I would vote for a woman but probably not Hilary Clinton. She never answers a question. Have you noticed her debates?
She will not answer a question. She just doubletalks around the issues and then talks about something that everyone agrees on (like this country needs a change), everyone agrees, she gets people hyped up on it and then she doesn't have to answer the question she was asked. What about that question of making English the Official language? She never did answer it either. All she did was mention that then Spanish would have to be taken off the ballot. I don't believe that in the first place and secondly how hard can it be to read your candidates name and put a check beside it on the computer?
At least she's a better liar than her husband. I'll give her that.

I had a interesting conversation with my aunt the other day regarding the Presidental Candidates..
Is America &/or world READY to bring a WOMAN into office??? .. Now I know there is the Queen of England.. And I am NOT that sure if there are any other woman leaders?.. but.. and I find this interesting especially when asking Other woman.
my aunt said "If it was anyone OTHER than Hilary Clinton I would NEVER vote for a woman.. But.. (yada yada ya etc)"
And the wheels are turning to how She could FIX America.. and how the rest of the world would interact with Her as a President of the United States
What do YOU think?!

Michael Moore is out to make money. You don't see him sharing it with anyone. He doesn't do anything to make the country better. He just likes to report the worse case scenario and scare people. Actually, I've noticed that he doesn't have any proof for a lot of the things he's speculating on. We definitely need to make some big changes. I don't like the health care system either but it is overburdened and taking care of people who have never paid into the system. When a few people put in and everyone takes out it's gonna be crappy.

I actually did send in one that had expired. After noticing I called the USCIS and they told me if they cashed the check then they accepted it. I truly hope this person knew what they were talking about this doesn't come back to bite me.
i am mailing in my i-129f and supporting docs tomorrow...i cant wait to get the first step over with, and to begin the beautiful waiting period...a word of advice...i was checking over my packet and realized that my i-129f was expired...make sure that you check this before mailing in any forms!
that was an rfe/denial waiting to happen
wish me luck!

Sex education is usually taught in 5th grade/elementary school with parents permission. Boys and girls are talked to separately, of course, usually by the Physical Education teacher or guidance counselor. Parents have to sign permission papers. Sometimes kids still won't ask questions.
Dear Abby,If Gary Spivey is supposedly "psychic" Why would he wear those those freaky wigs? Wouldn't he know that wearing them scares people?

It IS bizarre to say the least. I can't figure the guy out - except that I think he's a shyster. The only thing I can think of regarding the bizarre wigs is that without it, he's just a regular fat guy trying to make money off of suckers.
