It's not accurate at all. I call NVC every other day. My wife's case was received at NVC on June 28, still no case number.  Their system is awful and frustrating.  They say it may take up to 8 weeks to get a case number.

I refer to NVC customer service the same website you pointed out, they repeat: It take up to 8 weeks.

    I understand your frustration.

My observation was based on my personal experience and many more others that I have seen on Facebook groups.

Yes, that is the standard response they give.

hooefully you hear something from them soon. Good luck

anybody with pd February 2017 but hasn't recieved an interview date yet..? I got my cc on the 8th of Jan since then I've been waiting and haven't gotten any news about my interview date please does any has idea or estimated time as to when I'll hear about my interview date??

Your IL depends totally on the embassy. Since your case completed on January and Pd became current in April 2019 bulletin, you should have received your interview letter sometime in the past few weeks. I suggest you try calling NVC and ask if they have any info with regard to this matter.

No update..I see some have updated timeline as PD 10th march 2017 received approval on 15th Oct '18.. since our pd is 20th march'17 we can expect anytime now.. Waiting

I’m not sure if you’ve tried it yet but a few have mentioned that the online portal(the one where you sign up to the account and get slightly more detailed information gets updated much much earlier than the portal or the actual letter that arrives. Maybe you could check it out.

The visajourney blog predicts that you should have it by now so maybe call hem up too.

     Hi,

AOS is only possible if your spouse is currently in the USA. Once filed, they cannot travel outside USA unless they have advanced parole (which you would file for along with AOS) It sounds like you are wanting her to fly back and forth; not saying thats not possible but she would have to wait until she has AP in hand along with EAD. Even with the AP, CBP can deny her entry into the country if they want to so I'd be very careful if you choose to do that and only let her fly home for emergencies or necessity. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. We’ve decided to go ahead with consular processing
