  1. Hello,

my mother ( green card holder) filled I-130 form for me in 2015 Dec 31.

I am unmarried son over the age of 21.

I recieved an email in 2020 Oct 22, that my case is completed and that I am waiting for an interview to be scheduled at the US embassy in cairo.
    my visa class is F2B.
can anyone tell me what case completed dates they are working in now or when do I expect an interview to be scheduled.

I am truly very depressed so any help I would appreciate.
    thank you

  2. Hello,

I applied I-130 for my unmarried son over 21 in Dec, 31 2015.

in April 2020 the case was approved

in October 2020 we got an email from the Egyptian empassy in cairo that they will send him an email when we schedule the interview.

and we have not heard anything since then.

I will really appreciate if someone illustrates what would happen and if there is any time frame or approximate time for him to have an interview.

    thanks again

  3. Hey guys,

so my mom applied for I-130 in December 2015 for my brother (over 21) who lives in Egypt at the moment.

I am his brother and attending college here in America and I applied for medicaid and got approved and I am 24 years and live with my parents.

    The question:

would I harm my brother in anyway because I have medicaid ( idk if that’s considered public charge or no) or What!

I would appreciate if someone give me estimated time for my brother case and what should I do next!

Thank you so much in advance for your love to help people .

  4. Hey!

So my mother has a green card and she did 1-130 for my brother who is in Egypt (over21). Our office is California service center.

The problem is when I check the processing time for I-130 under California center it show that they have been working in September 2014 the whole last year and It changed but the opposite direction. So, it became july 2014 and now june 2014. So I really don’t understand anything. I know that is is the first stage of the process.

As for the second stage (visa center availability)

they are working at the moment in January 2014.

    Our application date is 12/31/2015

so, I will be more than pleased if anyone illustrates to me how that process go and what is the estimated time!

    Thank you!

Yes. An unmarried adult son or daughter of an LPR falls into the F2B preference category. According to the current visa bulletin, F2B is current up to March 2011 for most of the world (and 2006 for Philippines and 1996 for Mexico).

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin.html

Historically, the F2B category has been moving slower than 12 months every year, so it's getting longer and longer. They are currently advancing ~10 months every year.

For reference, this is not the fault of USCIS or DOS...these are purely due to visa limits by country and category. The number of family-based visas available is limited annually, so the delays here aren't because of a processing speed issue.

Put I-130 and California service center!!

Can u please explain that to me 😞

I believe the I-130 will take roughly 3-4 years at this point.

However, the PD won't be current for 7-10 years....likely on the longer side of that estimate. So the case can't proceed through NVC until roughly 2023-2025 or so. The son must remain unmarried so long as the petitioner remains an LPR.

    Oh my god

sir, Are you sure of that ?
