Sometimes this is random but usually it has something to do with a question about the petitioner's past dealings with US immigration.  Usually, the US Citizen petitioner has some kind of clue what the problem could be.  If not, then it's random.

I filed a petition i130 for my husband before and it was approved but because of his deportation he didn't get a visa. When my husband became eligible I filed again

Hello people. My stand alone I-130 gas been active for 280 days now. Our priority date was September 1,2017 on March 13,2018 our case was transferred to NBC for faster processing, tgere is nothing faster at all our case has been at NBC for 80 days. Anyone has experience or knows if we are getting closer to a decision. We can’t find much on visajourney that’s why I’m reaching out to find out. Our case was at Potomac and when transferred it has the same receipt number YSC.

My case was transferred from Potomac to national benefits center like yours. I just received a letter for me to come to my local field office for an initial interview after being at the national benefits center. Since your case was transferred in March you may not hear anything until September. I was told it takes them six months to process the case. When I received the transfer letter they also told me to speed up the process. Some lawyer have said when your case is transferred to national benefits center it is because they want you to come in for an interview. I have to come in for an interview so that is true for me. Anyway you may receive a decision without interview or you may have to come in for interview.

My petition has been transferred already for 60 days. I haven’t heard back yet on approval or what the heck they are doing with it!!!! Taking to long

My petition has been there for six months I have not heard anything either. I did call customer service last month and she said the national benefits center takes six months to give a decision. I hope that is true
