Hello all,
Got my 10 year gc in the mail on Friday just about a month after being approved.
Congratulations, that's great! Did you get an e-mail prior to getting an actual card?
Yep, got the "card production ordered" email on 4/24 and the "approval notice sent" on 4/29.

Congrats I got my approval letter on Monday and according to my online status my case is still pending in VSC (got transferred to CSC end of March) so don't worry.

My file was transferred some time towards the end of March and I got my approval letter in the mail on Monday. Don't put too much faith in the USCIS website status updates. Mine's still saying "case pending in VSC"

Approved!! Just got the letter and the approval date is 04/01/09. According to USCIS website my application is still in VSC but I'm not complaining Thanks a bunch for all the advice and info. Now a couple of months off and then time to start the naturalisation application.

Hello All another newbie here. Could someone please add me to the list
Receipt at VSC 10/15/08, VSC to CSC transfer 3/20/09 (I think. That's when the letter I received today was dated. I haven't received an email nor has my status on uscis website changed).
Thanks!

I had my interview at the embassy on Thursday (8th) and my application has been suspended (K3 visa). They require my medical results (had medical on Thursday as well so that shouldn't take long), and an IRS form from my husband. I was told to call the courier company once I have the documents to arrange a collection and delivery to the embassy. I was also told to send my passport in with the documents? Why do they need my passport and how long will they keep it? Any help or advice is much appreciated.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean. If a person is born and raised somewhere (in your example Texas) then isn't that where the person is from irrespective of what the person's heritage is?
