Can anyone give me any feedback is it suppose to take this long. I am getting the run around

Hello, My name is Sayed My Finance is in Afghanistan, but her case is being processed in

Pakistan. She has done everything our case in under adminstrative processing. It

has been like 6 months. I am sorry to say the Embassy will give the interview soon

but after you interview the will give you a green slip. Everyone gets it in pakistan, but I heard last week that some cases were getting complete from administrative processing, and that they were issueing visas. Why does it take so long? I wish you the best of luck.

I woke up to my Fiancee writing me saying we had good news, hehehe I got three Emails from the USCIS stating our case had been approved on 12/07/06!! :dance: just 67 days after the notice date, i hope everyone else's goes just as quick!!

Awsome but now comes the real wait. I got aproved from USCIS 10 months ago my Fiance she interview four months ago and her case is in Adminstravie processing in Pakistan No clue when she will get a visa it really sucks good luck. By the way what is it when this website her moves your topic what do they me by that.

What Happens if a U S Citizen goes abroad and gets married can they do a direct consalate and come to the USA? Need some Feedback Please.

I know and all of us were told the same thing. I married December 25, 2005 and sent in our paperwork and if you look at my profile we have history back to 2003. Everything processed and cases went to Islamabad end of July 2005 but they would not grant interview until December 12, 2005 and we were told case is fine just needs some administrative processing. January 2006 field investigation and DOS or no one would tell me anything until we contacted them in May 2006 and they said they were sending my husband a letter to come back to the embassy. His visa was ajudicated on May 10, 2006. We were told all fine and so were all the others that are in the same situation as yours. Our 30 -45 days max ended up being 5 months.

Okay, So are they doing the field investagation now or after the the Admistrative processing I am lost how longer until they would give her a visa. I have been back twice, and it is a long flight to Afghanistan. I though the K1 Visa doesn't take this long, but I guess I was wrong.

Adminstrative Processing and Administrative Review vary from embassy/consulate. Administrative Processing is a deep dark hole and means a more indepth investigation of your case if you are going through Islamabad. So far we have had two males from Afghanistan come over and Omid her fiance was in AP for 6 months she was the last one. NO ONE CAN expedite this and will not and cannot help you until your case is cleared via the embassy.

Administrative processing can mean field investigations and they are common from the Islamabad embassy where they will make sure the person is free to marry, is the relationship true, does the family approve of the marriage, was it arranged and if so from custom or was it for monetary gain or greencard? Too many variables once your case goes into AP.

Hope you come to the linked thread and talk to some of the others that are going through this. My husband came and I am still here trying to help others understand and see there is light at the end of the tunnel from Islamabad.

I would recommend that you contact your senator or congressman for help moving this along. That's your best bet at this point.

I have contacted my congressman his office is giving me the run around, and I have also contacted my senators too, but no news, what do I do now how long does this take. What is Adminstrative processing.

K1 visa processing is being done in Pakistan. My Fiance had her interview August 8th 2006 and they told her that her case needs adminestrative processing it would take up to 60 days. Now it has been 120 days. No one can Help me I am a US Citizen and she is in Afghanistan. My case was approved in the United states March 1,2006 with USCIS than sent to NVC and than Sent to Pakistan where the process is being done at the U. S. Embassey in Islamabad. I filed the I129F November 28,2005. How Long can This Take? Any feedback is well apprecaited. Can anyone Help Me?
