It's normal that they transfer cases, maybe the notice is generic and that's why the interview part is in it.

    Thank you...

this is our Local office address 2675 Prosperity Ave, Fairfax, VA 20598 but on the notice the address is National Benefits Center PO BOX 648005, Lee's Summit, MO 64064

I know I saw or heard about that somewhere that one has too, this could be when I called / emailed all those 1000s of times.

I would as soon as you have your divorce decree.

Oh okay, but you know my situation right? We were together and filled jointly and now while waiting the roc we got divorced and we got the decree, so not sure what to notify here... or how to do the waiver...

Everyone in this situation has always notified USCIS the minute there was a change. I'm still not done w my divorce nor i 751.... nor....n 400.....

but the ppl i've spoken to here, have sent in their divorce decrees + waver asap as possible. Most of the ppl i've spoken to, have had their cases expedited as a result......

And also it is really vague about this one, there is nothing on their website saying that we need to inform them when the divorced is finished while still waiting on pending roc filling jointly

Whenever I call USCIS , or when i went to get my Infopass, they just keep saying to wait.

Out of curiosity, what is your situation?

    Hi santiago,

I have a question, if I filed jointly and was still married legally when we filed, and then now we are divorced and we have a final decree but still waiting for roc, do I need to notify uscis and do a waiver? and I guess re-file the I 751 and do a divorced? Or just wait till I get something from Uscis? Thanks!

Update: I am "officially" divorced. my ex filed an uncontested divorce, he got it finalized yesterday, and he call me to update me, since a copy of the divorce decree will be available within 10 days, I am now just waiting on getting this copy, to visit lawyer and move forward.

Hi mcfrl, I saw you got approved already for your i751, did you end up notify the USCIS and then got approved? Or you didn’t notify them?

    Hi everyone,

I was so incredibly worried and hopeless, so I just want to share my story as it may be helpful to someone who is in a similar situation.

My ex-husband and I moved apart in May 2017 as our relationship wasn't going well for about 6 months. We still did not feel the need to get a divorce then, both for financial and practical reasons.

In late June 2017 we filed for ROC jointly and were very honest about it. I can't remember the exact day, but the NOA is dated July 17th. I explained the situation, said that we were very young when we got married (20) and submitted all the evidence I had, which wasn't much since we were merely college students living college student lives. I said that we were still thinking about whether we wanted to get divorced or not since that is a drastic decision, but that as of that Summer we were looking for new careers in separate cities even. We both signed everything.

A year later, we finally started our divorce process. It was finalized July 2018, so I sent a divorce waiver request as soon as I had the final decree. Again, I was honest, and mentioned how I had been honest in my original petition just to be safe. I was expecting at least an interview, so it was a total surprise.

I got my approval letter today (but it's dated 11/15)!

So I hope this serves as encouragement for anyone who needs it. I am only 24 and I did it all by myself while in college, including my own divorce. It is possible!

Let me know if you have more questions about my case & good luck!

Nice!! I am at the same boat here, my wife decided to move out of state and I can’t do it since I just start established a career here... so my question is, since we filled the second green card together , do I need to send them (uscis) the waiver now or wait until our divorce finalized?

I checked the February filers for Vermont and, quite a few of them from early to mid February had their bio appointment at the end of March. From what I observed they received their letters about a month after NOA and, their appointments was about 10-14 days after they got their letters.

Well,  so much for me not worriying about this process anymore..  I can’t help myself.

Well I still didn’t get anything, sent on the 12th and got confirmation from usps delivered on the 15th but nothing till today... should I call and ask?
