  1. The two year green card expires on 12-10-2009.

When can I mail off my I-751 packet to the USCIS?

Your timeline indicates you sent off the I-751 on Sept. 08 - hope it took its time getting there - I'd like to think they'd still hang on to it if it were a day (or so) early.

no they don't hang on to it.We sent ours and they got it two days early.Five days later we got it back and had to resend it :bonk:

  2. yes i got my GC, we're over the moon.

    but i have question.

will i get cards for my EAD & AP which i applied for too?

i've seen that some have received their GC as well as EAD cards.

does this GC just let me work & travel outside the USA now?

thanks in advance, for your replies.

Green card will let you work and travel.

I recieved my GC too..and im not expecting with my EAD anymore...i dont know whats going on with EAD. Its useless. But dont worry GC is sufficient for us to work and travel. I wish i didnt apply for EAD..but AP i didnt not coz i recieved my GC after 2 months. So lucky!!!

I noticed on your time line that there was no mention of an interview.Did you have one or did you get your green card about 2months after the biometrics? We just had our bimetrics today and also applied for an EAD which I see we should have just waited.

  3. We are not sure what to do next.My fiancee is here now and we will be married on June 9th. I know after the wedding we will get her ss card and start the AOS process. What are question is Leslie has to have a second round of vaccines like the measles-mumps-rubella and the varicella. She had the first round in Manila and has to have the second round within 4-8 weeks Do we go to the civil surgeon before we start the AOS , during, or after?

Thanks VJers for the help this has been a great site and has help us when we started the K-1 visa.

  4. My fiancee just recieved her packet 4. The packet still reads to make sure the bank validates the DS156 form. Now I read somewhere in the forums that it was suppose to be on the DS157. I know we will keep the receipt and all but which is correct?

Do we follow the packet the embassy sent which states validate the DS 156?

Do we just show the bank a copy of the appointment letter from the embassy so they know what the payment is for?

    Thanks for you assistance.

PS: I want to thank all for all the postings. I read everytime I can and gather so much information here. This by far is a great website.

Good luck to all and I will update our timeline. Thanks again!

my fiancee just went through what you are woundering on the validation.Tell them it is for a K-1 visa and the bank will validate it on ds157.She woundered if this was the correct form herself. She callled the Embassy in Manila and they said it was okay as long as the form is validated.Good luck !

  5. Same thing happened to me.I believe you clicked auto date so when ever you put in a date it will automatically use that date in all areas. Some how you can delete this.I tried to find out how but couldn't so what I ended up doing was deleting Adobe and downloaded it again. Then I filled out the I-134 again and when it asked me to auto update my dates I just clicked on no.Problem solved!Good luck

  6. Hello VJers,

we now have my fiancees interview in Manila for May! I am now getting the I-134 ready and have a few questions I would like to ask those who may have had the interview.

    1. Did you send your fiancee a copy or original letter from the NVC with the bar code?

    2. It says in the I-134 "the sponsor must submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources,as appropriate:" How many of you have made duplicates of statement of employment and statement from a bank officer?

    3. If one is at least 3x's above the poverty level should they even include the bank officers statement or mutual fund information,or will the employment statement with the salary on the I-134 line 7 be enough? Thanks and sorry if this has been talked about before.

  7. Hello!

Thanks!!! Yeah May 23 will be a really good date for interview since it's also my Parents Wedding Anniversary!!

As far as the Dept Of State, They don't have anything to do with the visa process, they just have a dept that is linked to all the embassies I guess, so they can look at our case status instead of calling the embassy. I read about this in the Manila embassy thread I think, and it really works great!

    Good Luck!!

Thanks again, I called and got through and found out my fiancee has her interview scheduled on May 22nd!! This is really looking good

  8. Hello Everyone!!

I just got off the phone with Dept of State and I found out that my Fiancee already has an interview date on MAy 23, 2007 :dance:

Her medical exam will be on May 16, 2007. Embassy just sent packet 4 out to her today!!

I couldn't believe how fast we got the interview appointment! Manila Embassy just got our case last Feb. 28, 2007.

So fellow Feb or early March cases in Manila, Please call Dept of State right now at 202 663 1225 and enter ext 100 right away. Just give your Mnl case number and they can give the info right away. Manila Embassy website doesn't even have our appointment online yet.

    Good luck to all!!!

Congrats!!!! I am a little confused though.I thought Manila scheduled the interviews? But as I read your post you called the Department of State so I guess they tell Manila when the interviews are? Thanks for the phone# I will give it a try!

  9. Okay so we have our Noa2 now and we are waiting for my fiancee's interview.I have read here what to do next but would like a better understanding.

    1. It says to send in an exact duplicte of your I-129f petition to your fiancee for the interview.Do I need to send her all the copies of her letters I sent in to USCIS?

    2. What about my birth certificate and divorce decree? Can I use the copies I sent USCIS or do I need to now send her certified copies of my birth certificate and divorce decree?

Thanks for any information you can share with me.

  10. The CSC received my application on November 20, 2006. As of yet I have only received my NOA-1. While looking at the

K-1 processing dates I am seeing applications that were received after mine being approved and NOA-2 being received by the applicant. I have heard nothing from the USCIS and when I check the status of my application online it simply states received and pending. My fiance is from Colombia and the others that are being processed ahead of mine are from other countries. Does this have something to do with it? Could someone shed some light on this for me, please!

It is pretty much a waiting game. There is nothing you can do about the process but to wait.Your time will come soon like everyone else who has filed in Nov.
