hubby got a letter from VSC yesterday. a denial of the petition because we didnt reply the RFE! ridiculous as the petition they mean is the K1 visa we cancelled already in august and again in october when the send the RFE reminder... maybe that is the reason why they have a backlog! they working on wrong cases.
Oh, my God! And what to do now? I'm totally shoked.

If anyone has problem with VERMONT SERVICE CENTER about processing I-130 Cases. Please do the following three things
-
Please call your state senators and Congressman for help. Please describe your situation and how this center mishandling your case.
-
Please call Dept. of Homeland Security at 202-282-8000 and ask them to transfer to Office of Inspector General. Make a formal complaint about mishandling I-130 cases for US Citizen and Residents.
-
Please call WASHINGTON POST at 202-334-7572 and talk to PAM CONSTABLE. She is a immigration reporter for Washington post and she will write an atricle about this cases. Please get as many people you can find in this same situation.
Who will do it?

I don't understand. If they have such backlog why the latest petitions have been approved. It is very strange.

You can see What is GOING ON with VSC , What on earth is going on with Vermont??!!. Here you will see that you are not along. We are in the same boat.

Did you have any answers from the representatives?
knowledge, I wrote letters on behalf of my husband to both of Senators of NY, our representative and Governor. One of them called to my husband and said that he can do nothing, we should to wait. Yesterday my husband told me that we have to wait till August. It was Senators words. We are going to apply for K3. I'm so tired.

Well I hope we've all learned the valuable lesson that you don't get anywhere calling VSC (if I weren't so nice I'd say I told you so LOL). PLEASE friends, as I had suggested a while ago, once you hit the 180 days mark go to your Senator. Don't call VSC, it's a waste of your time. Niagara, don't worry about what they told you-just contact the Senator and let them deal with it. To the rest of us-our day is coming in NO TIME! Get those privacy release forms filled out LOL!
What do you think if it 180 working days?
-
Thank you so much for your reply, StarProg.
Yes I did email the NVC to ask how things are going on with our case. It's been a bit less than a month since they cashed the affidavit of support fee bill. I definitely hope it arrives soon. How long have you waited for yours?
-
Hi guys,
I have a question from my friend. Could you give her some advice please?
"I would like to ask you about the Affidavit of Support and what exactly I would need to enclose in it.
The thing is that I received an email from the NVC the other day saying that they had already received the bill for the Affidavit and now were waiting for me to download the affidavit form from the internet and then submit it to the NVC.
Here is an extract from the email : "Please have the petitioner complete this form and return it according to the instructions so that we may continue processing this file. Please visit http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335. "
Yet when I open the link, I can only find the downloadable affidavit form not the cover letter or release tax data form to download...
That webpage does not mention anything about barcodes either..
My question is this: is it really necessary to enclose the barcode, and all the other forms if I can't find them on the webpage they gave me.
http://travel.state.gov/pdf/I-864Checklist...lines-Final.pdf - their checklist guidelines do not say anything about the barcode either.
http://travel.state.gov/pdf/I-864GenInfo-FAQ-Final.pdf - while this page says that the NVC does not mail the forms.
In addition they say : "We prefer that you complete the form(s) online. After the form is completed on the computer, it must be printed and mailed as instructed."
So I have been wondering, if am to download I-864 form from their website, complete and send it to them..does their http://travel.state.gov/ website state it that I have to include the barcoded page, the cover sheet as well as the authorization for release of tax data?"
Thanks for everything
Have a good day!
-
well today is the day. we reached the magical 180 days line.
Niagara, you are the first in our list. I hope your case will be approved as soon as possible. And we will be after you. Good luck to all of us.
-
Hi, friends! May be we should write collective letter to the senator and ask about the help? How long have we wait? It is impossible.
-
Hi, friends! How are you? We have 6 of us (plus my baby). Hmm, I think we should do something, but what?
