Can you explain what does this mean?

Went down the SS office because if her indoors dies then they deduct 40% for aliens and nothing for citizens - a BIG advantage of doing naturalization

Hi everybody,
I am an October's filer for ROC and just did my biometrics today at the ASC for the second time.One month ago, I received the second biometrics appointment letter stating that my first biometrics could not be read by the FBI and then gave the appointment date for a second biometrics.

The biometrics technician ,while doing my fingerprints, told me today that she is pretty sure that this time will not work neither.

Did somebody have this kind of experience that the second fingerprint could not be read by the FBI and in this case, what will happen next ?

I would appreciate if somebody would share his or her experience and knowledge on the matter.

I had the biometrics for second time. And I was also told that if the first time failed the second one will also. But it did not. As a matter of fact I got today the green card.

I was told that if the second time did not work I was supposed to get certified fingerprints in all the places I had leave.

Got my approval letter. Decision date 12/24/2009. Internet still says initial review and of course no email alert yet. For the rest waiting...it is coming.

Congratulatins to those getting approvals.

Just to let you know, yesterday I did a walk-in in Oklahoma City. They received me after 4 hours of waiting since they said they were pretty busy that day.

Anyway, the lady that I had to talk said than when someone has problems with the fingerprints end-up getting another letter asking for fingerprints on the places I have lived, and most probably and interview (i think she said since they have problems matching the fingerprints).

I do hope that will be not my case, back to checking the status of my account...

What "happens" after the biometrics appointment? hubby has his on 10/23/09.......................thanks!

nothing "happens" other than the information is put in with your file and it goes back to the shelf to be reviewed...

it can be approved or maybe you will be interviewed

or as me, have a second letter for taking more fingerprints...

Hello Everyone, I just checked email and found out I got approved. Jay. Happy day!!! Good Luck to the everyone and hope you guy will get approved soon. Next year is my final move to Citizen Application. Have a good day everybody.

That is great. I hope VSC starts also with approvals. At least I know mine was processing for getting that second biometrics.

Has anyone done early biometrics in Oklahoma City. I got a letter to re-take my fingerprints but I will be traveling for work and I do not find in this forum someone with early biometrics in that center. Any experience?

I am on the same-quasi situation. I also have a bio appt letter (but not a second one) that is coinciding with a trip I have to make. I hear it is case by case, sometimes they let you, sometimes they don't. I am not sure how long a drive it is for you to go to Oklahoma city for the appointment.

What I am doing tomorrow is to try to do a walk-in in Santa Rosa (about 1:30 hour driving no traffic), and I am also bringing a copy of my itinerary/ticket receipt to prove I won't be in the state on my scheduled appointment date. If they don't let me do the walk-in tomorrow, I will try again next week. If they don't allow me again for a second time, then I will submit a request to have the appointment date changed. At least that's my strategy.

I was supposed to travel on the 9th, and on the 8th it was postponed to the 16th. Today i had to postponed to the 26 and when i get home i found out the appointment is for the 29. I do not want to reschedule the appointment because even if i have a return ticket if this thing (an oil well) keeps postponing, i will not be here for that time either. I will need to change the ticket again! (each time is 250 dolares!)

Hey guys,
So I just realized that about five months ago when I was filling out personal information for the job I was just hired for, there was a section that asked if I was married or single, and I checked single because I was rushing through it as it was due right away and I had been checking the "single" box for 24 years of my life!

Do you guys know if it's possible to change this, etc??

Shoot, we have our interview for A.O.S. on Nov. 2nd, so it's real soon. What a stupid mistake!

I was once explained by the person that does our taxes that there is no problem filling up as single even if you are married. He said it is not a lie, it was asking how much you wanted to be taken of your taxes. This was asked because my husband before was filling as single and his mother was insisting on keeping that way. I was so upset she said that, that i asked that question in front of her trying to proof that she was wrong. Now, I am not an expert, it is only what I was told.

I got another biometric appointment today. My fingerprints need to be retaken. Is anyone from here done an early biometrics in Oklahoma City? I will be traveling by the time they ask me. I have the airplane tickets to proof the dates.

mrc,

the number in the NOA is not the number that you will use to track your application in the internet. A different number comes in the biometric letter and with that one you can check your status.

if you read carefully your NOA it says to wait until the biometric letter.

Went to biiometrics yesterday, everything OK.

Ladies, want to hear an advice: if you want to have good fingerprints take care of your hands...of course the same apply to guys.

by the way, the new DL was supposed to be renewed for one year with the extension letter, I got my until 2013!

OK...added our information. Have not received our NOA yet (did not expect to). Check has been cashed (9/30/09). Handwritten EAC # on it, but USCIS is not recognizing it online.

it wont recognize because the number that you get in the biometric letter is different from the NOA1.

Hey folks, i've just got my NOA. as a matter of fact im DInGLiNg now.......... just a question does that mean they are satisfied with the few docs which i have included to my application. i dont have many docs to show to them. i'll update my info which is listed in the table shortly.

I understand that only means they have received your papers. The revision process starts then.

David & Mae, I am happy you get your letter for biometrics. it is only your NOA that got los in neverland.
