    K-1 Visa and Filing the I-134 Affidavit of Support

    I've been reading posts online that this form would need to be filled out by me (the US Citizen petitioner). Just a bit confused, do I fill the form out then send it to my foreign fiancee to present at her interview at their US embassy? Or do I need to file the form through some other means? Also, would I need to be interviewed as well or just my foreign fiancee.

    I don't think the Sac FO itself is bad. I'm done with my entire process as a late Dec filer (oath last week) and they were a pleasant experience. I find it really unfortunate that you are stuck in this manner. When you do get your interview, feel free to ask them to put you in the immediately available oath ceremony afterwards. I was able to get my oath within 2 weeks of interview. 

    I just called them again and I've concluded that they don't know anything about my case outside from the fact that it is in "Received" status. I was asking why my online case status hasn't moved (because other people at least get a status if they're stuck in background check) and they weren't able to answer. They have also said that I will have to wait until the "Receipt date for case inquiry" is on or past my receipt date (Sept 12, 2017). Thank you so much for your responses, though. I will look into taking it to the Senator's office once it does go past the 13-month period.

     

    Random question, when do they update the processing times page?

    Yep. Still no movement on my part. I just checked the processing times for Sacramento and it moved again to 9-13 months...last time I checked it was 9-12 months :( I'll try to call again to see if someone can give me any information at all or if they just don't really know what's happening to my case and just say whatever they want when I call.

    I called USCIS today and got a tiny bit of clarity on my case. Basically they told me that "according to their records" my background check isn't cleared yet. Although it seems the CS rep doesn't know much about the online statuses (my online status is stuck in "Case was Received") and was saying how they only update the statuses for the major changes like getting in line for interview...when i know most people get their statuses updated for biometrics scheduling and background check, etc.

     

    TBH I feel like no one I talk to knows what's going on with my case 100% and so I'm forced into waiting with no idea what's going on....I know there are a lot of people in the same boat but it does get frustrating :|

Even LMLM who's a late Sept 2017 applicant is done with his interview at the same FO, along with Jaxey who also applied during that timeframe , so ~Nov 2017 applicants are getting interview notices now. It's not clear why you, another Sept 2017 applicant, isn't getting yours. I realize the frustration of getting any useful information out of them, but if you're able to muster the enthusiasm to seek another InfoPass, I do hope that causes them to wake up to your file! 

    It's no problem. I just checked to see if I could schedule an infopass for the sacramento office and it seems right now they've disabled infopass appointments there :(

    No updates as of today. I'm pretty sure if I do an infopass they won't give me any good information. I'll just forget about it for now and revisit in the next few months. I heard from someone at my office that it took them around a year, as well. They did their oath in february, i think. I'll keep this thread posted if and when I do receive the mail. Online for me is hopeless since my case status is still stuck :/

I've about 15 Sacramento FO applicant stats from 2017 collected from here and trackitt, and they all have priority dates->interview letter durations within a very narrow band, ranging from 155 to 201 days (mostly clustered around 170-190). The only exception are two outliers of >300 days, both of which I assume were BC delayed. If you don't get it by start of May, I suggest a second Infopass. 

    Yeah. The person at the USCIS told me that I was cleared/no red flags, but I'm not sure how reliable that is because he seemed unsure (due to his mannerisms) but I will take his word for it for now. I will certainly be happy and relieved once I get my interview letter.

    Jaxey's data also fits solidly into the above analysis - from PD to interview letter for Jaxey is 184 days, right within the range I find for all of 2017, and just slightly above the median of 178 days for all 2017 filers for whom I've usable trackitt data. So Sacramento is being quite predictable - unless you are stuck in BC, you should get an interview letter 170-190 days from filing. 

    Ahh. Currently it's been 207 days since my PD. A little over the estimates you had. Had an infopass appointment a few days ago and they said there were no flags from my background check and it's just pending interview. I am hoping it won't take too long. :(

    Wow. You're also from the Sacramento Office. I applied earlier than you so I'm hoping I'm coming up soon...my online status is stuck at "Case was Received" so I can't tell if it's been scheduled yet until I get the interview letter.
