Hi we received our NOA2 on 2/21 and we are now preparing our documents for the interview.
Im the beneficiary in Japan and my USC fiance is preparing supporting document for I-134 Affidavit of Support.
She has been working here in Japan as an Eng teacher for past 3 years but she hasnt filed US tax return for past 3 yearsbecause she was thinking she didnt have to since she was working and paying tax here during that time period.
Then we realized she was supposed to file US tax return even if shes outside the US and earned 0 US income.
So basically she has to back file past 3 years but does anyone know how? Also does she ever have to declare foreign(Japanese) income?
If any of you could answer I would really appreciate. Thanks!
