    Hi everyone!

I have two years green card will expire on may/18 , and week ago I sent my documents to the immigration for removal cc! And I got a case number already! And I got a letter from the immigration that says they received the i-175 fee !!! And they give me one more year to stay until they finish working on my case ! And to be honest I don’t understand everything and I don’t know how long the process takes !

so I’m divorced  filing separate I-175

so I need to travel to Jordan on March ? Do You guys think im gonna be okay or is there any risk if I travel out of US ? and will I have any problems entering the US ? I have my busines here and apt and a lot stuff here so I’m just trying to be in the safe side ! Any advice will be appreciated !

if there is anyone have similar case and situation please tell me about your experience and how was it when u enter the US again at the airport and the immigration was easy ?

    thank you so much guys

it will probably be fine to mail it on March 4 - it won't get processed until a few days after it gets there and it's unlikely they'll have a biometrics appointment scheduled right away. So if you want to get it out, I think you're probably safe to do so.

But then again, 2 weeks later still won't really make a difference. If they ask you if you've sent in the renewal yet (which is highly unlikely), you can tell them the truth - you have the package ready to go but didn't want to risk getting scheduled for a biometrics appt in your absence. It's all perfectly legal!

Thank you so much  its very helpul to me

If your card expires on May 18, the earliest you can file is February 17 (90 days before) and the latest you can file is May 17 (which I do not recommend because it is so close to the expiration date).  Filing in March, after your vacations, is perfectly fine and will avoid complications like missing correspondence from USCIS, or your biometrics appointment.

Thank you lemonslice  its very helpul.are they not gonna question port of entry here in usa about why not filling it yet?

Missing the biometrics usually means a denial, you will need to reapply.  Why don't you send your documents AFTER your trip and save yourself all the trouble?

Thank u for information lemonslice..uscis said u have to file it within 90days my 90days is nextweek so i have to file it.and i have traveling with 90days before my expiration of gc?it is be okay to travel without filing it yet?are they not gonna questions why u didnt file it yet?

    1. 1-2 weeks usually

    2. No

    3. You're fine to travel if it isn't expired yet

    4. A couple weeks, but it will probably be scheduled in March, so you will likely miss the appointment (causing trouble for you)

    5. Yes

    6. Should be fine
