    N-400 - JANUARY 2014 FILERS

    My husband has finally decided to send in the N400.

    We sent it off on 01/21/2014 to Txs

    We received his biometric letter yesterday 02/05/2014

    My husband's Appt is for 02/20/2014 @8am for fingerprints

    Excited, but never overly because, you/we never know what can happen!!

    Good luck my friends and hopefully we can have this immigration stuff behind us... Inshallah!!

    I-751 December 2010 Filers

    Hi all,

    We filed I-751 in Nov. 2010 and received information in Dec that it was received. I don't have dates right now in front of me, (sorry)!!! But Qasim had his biometrics ( fingerprints and paper stamped) in Jan. 2011 and we haven't heard anything since then. I keep looking for updates at uscis and there are none :( and haven't had a chance to call and speak to anyone at their customer service.

    Also, we had to file at VSC, so Idk if they are just taking longer or what, but I see quite a few have been approved for their 10 yr green card. I've really relaxed a lot since he has been home, but now starting to worry again that we haven't heard anything. suggestions or comments please..........

    Also Congrats to all my fellow VJ peeps that got their cards and citizenship!!!! :thumbs:

    :wow: Oh my goodness.... Can this week be any better? Birthday, Grandbaby, and now this....

    Our Update.......

    My husband finally made it home, Alhumdulilah!!!!! :D:dancing:

    He arrived in USA on 12/11/2008 and we were reunited on 12/12/2008. I still can't believe that he is finally home. I had him pinch me.......lol

    The first weekend was emotional for me, but now Alhumdulilah it is getting much better.

    This is just one heck of an emotional journey and we just have to stay strong and remember to have faith. ALLAH knows best and that is so very true, because I never thought he would ever get here.

    salaam everyone

    just want everyone to know my huby got his visa today in hand!

    our AP is over! alhum. hes been in AP since july 08. and today his visa was issued! alhumdulillah..

    all i can say is never give up and keep praying to Allah. he is the most powerful!

    just to let u know

    his interview in chennai was perfect. nothing wrong. everything in order and did not request any doc. i was present with him also.

    but cousular officer said i am confident you will get ur visa but i have to do some admin processing on your case, and it will take 4-6 weeks. but it actually took 5 months!!

    so dont woryy ppl inshallah the visa will come but keep in touch with embassy and dos even though dos is not helpful at all..

    Hi Revived,

    My husband was put on Ap, but Alhumdulilah it was shorter than most. He was on it from time of his interview July 31st to Sept. 10th ( that is the day embassy called for his passport). I did call on Sept 8th and at that time at DOS he was still on AP, so I don't know how they determine who has a longer wait than others.

    Nope, I don't think it is fair. We have all done our fair share of waiting and some more than others, through this whole visa process. I haven't seen my husband since April 20, 2007 and hopefully in 5 weeks he will be home insha allaah!!!

    We just have to stay strong and have our faith, prayers and support from our family and friends.

    How many have had interviews and how many days of AP so far?

    I had a death situation too along with great financial debt and legal issues due to this death. Which my congessman requested it and sent them all the proof. And was told the expedite was apprvd too but this was a few days before his interview and we are still waiting. I hope things are different for you. Im not trying to argue or compare im just saying dont get your hopes up cuz after the fact they still put him on AP and told us we have to wait unitl security checks are done that they cannot issue the visa until then.

    have you heard anything lately? Have you called the congress office and gotten anything from them? keep praying and keep faith, that he will soon be out of ap and home to you.....

    Hey Revived, Qasim, Aisha, Mary, Mian & others Friends,

    Good News is I got done finally with the AP process on 27th October which i found out on Friday by DOS, but till 3rd Monday no one called from Islamabad Embassy so i made a call myself and he told me to submit the passport which i did today. so let see when they give it back to me.

    Any idea how long they are taking? Because i have to be there before 5 Dec.

    Would like to thank everyone for being a part of this dark hole of mine as not everyone was in there but it felt we are together and that helped me in staying stronger and to believe what i was going through will over soon.

    I would think that you would have your passport way before Dec 5th insha allaah you will have back before then insha allaah

    with Qasim's it only took like 7 days to get his back once he submitted his passport, but I think it can be a lil longer ??

    Yes and we were all right there with you because at some point.......we have all be there and still are :( but insha allaah everybodys time is coming and being reunited with their families insha allaah

    Hi everyone I just got the call from AMEX at 3:30pm today that my visa has arrive and i can pick it up at 10:00am to 12:00pm tomorrow morning....

    Thanks everyone on VJ for ur great help and support....

    I hope that you receive it very soon insha allaah, So, have you started looking for tickets yet? Qasim asked me if you had gotten your visa yet and when you would be coming here. I told him what I had read here and so I told him to text you ;)
