Did you sign up for notifications from USCIS, what does their case status on line system show? Should say "card production ordered" when the card is produced.

Yes I did signed for notification andthe status remaind thesame that they recieved my application. No card prodution ordered or welcome letter.

Hi VJ members.I wanet for my aos interview on ths 1 of June 08.I was approved with my passport stamped(i-551) but I'm yet to recieve my green,I went for infopass about two mounts ago I was told that I should be recieving my card shortly and nothing has happened since then.Last week I contacted my congress person to look into it.This afternoon I got a letter from my congress person saying that they got respond form uscis that my file is at NATIONL RECORD CENTER........what does this mean? is there anybody going through this or have experience this before?

I had my AOS interview in Garden City, NY on July 10th. Fortunately everything went well and I was approved. It has been a week and I haven't seen any updates in my cases online (still shows 6/9/08 as LUD date). I haven't received anything in the mail either. The officer mentioned that I would receive a welcome letter within a week and my GC afterwards.

My question is:

Has anyone had a similar experience either in Garden City or any other office?

Is this something I should worry about? I plan on traveling around the middle of August. I really don't want to have any trouble at the POE.

By the way, forgot to mention that I got the I-551 stamp in my passport.

I also had my interview on the 06 -16-08 but I'm yet to get welcome or approval letter,less I forget my passport was stamped.I made an infopass and the IO informed me that my case was tansfered to the central office to be reviewed my supervisor.So hang in there it would come.

Hello VJ. has anyone experience a situation where a case was approved with stamp in passport but later found out that case was transfered for supervisor's review?I was approved with my passport stamped four weeks ago but I've not heard anything form them yet.The last I called I was told that my case has been transfered even after it was approved with stamp.Does anyone has any input or advise? My case is VAWA

if they were going to revoke it, they'd have to call you in and destroy that page in your passport.

I can't think why they'd approve you (by giving you the I-551 you are an approved legal permanent resident) and then send your file off for supervisor review. That makes no sense at all. I think they're confused.

I'm very confused too,I don't know what to do at this time,my weekend was messed up when I found out yesterday.I have more than enough evidence that I was battered my my ex wife.I wish I could be done with all this and put the whole mess behind.I'm hoping in the Lord.I still don't know why they have to send my file to NY office to be reviewed after my passport was stamped.

Hello VJ, I still do not get adivse form any member of vj base on my request for advise on what to do concerning my AOS that was filed almost two months ago.I check the statues of the money order and to my best of understanding it was yet to be cashed as at this afternoon.Does anyone know what I should do? should I refile or I should continue playing the wating game? I'm so depressed and worried right now.Any advise please?

My I-360 petition was approved last November 06 and my lawywer filed for AOS January this year,up till this present time I'm yet to recieve NOA or reciept showing that my petition has been recieved.Has anyone experience this before? what should I do?

He came here to be with his wife, did not work out, why stay in a strange land.

Does that mean if things did not materialised she should put me behind ber for the offence I did not commit.Have you ever being to jail? did know that I was jailed innocently? think of this.she hould have let me go in peace rather than put me into place I was not belong to.I have every evidence that i was abuse mentaly.what would you do if this happened to you? tell me what would you do if your wife sing your paystubb and diposited the money into the account that your name was removed from?

I can only speak for myself, but I think I would be on the next plane home. I doubt if you will get any legal redress, sometimes it is just best to put these things behind you, move on with your life.

A bit of personal experiance, but also seen too many friends in messy break ups.

Look up the nearest Catholic Human Charities office in your area, and make an appointment to speak with them about pro bono immigration assistance in order to file a VAWA claim. Better to do this now, rather than later. Try to secure affidavits from anyone that witnessed what your US citizen wife did to you, during the 9 months you were here, that was in any way abusive. Preventing you access to home and board, prohibitting you from contacting family members and commandeering your paychecks for her sole and personal use is abusive. It doesn't matter that the divorce petition has been filed, but you must submit the VAWA claim ASAP, in order to receive a determination quickly.
