That's so sad to here that DFA's appointment is corrupt again. =(

It's ok we didn't know either and we lived in Los Angeles around a lot of pinoys. Where are you from in a Pinas? Where did you get married at, and where are you living na?

Ohh I see. I've been to LA and want to move there because there's a lot of Filipinos! I'm from Cavite. Got married in Tampa,FL and still living here.

Another Question. For the report of marriage is the name of "witness 1" and name of "witness 2". Are they witnesses for me and my husbands wedding? It confuses me because they're under Husband Parent's and Wife's Parents Section.

2. No, there will be no problem with going to the Philippines and coming back to the USA.  Just make sure you bring your green card and your marriage license with you when you go back. 3. When you finally do the ROM at whatever consulate here in the USA that is jurisdiction of where you got married, you can write down whatever reason you think. We got married in NC but were as living in CA, so the embassy in Washington D.C. was were we had to do ROM. We just put down as us moving for the reason. 

Didn't really know I had to do ROM in the first place, until I was searching on how to renew my passport. Don't know any fellow kababayans here too who got married to an american so basically I am clueless of what to do after me and my husband got married. =< 

So.. I'm a permanent resident and planning to go home (Philippines) this May and I just realized that I still haven't change my last name in my passport, since I got married. 

Question:

1. Do I really need to renew my passport to change my last name even though the expiration date of my passport is still in 2020?

2. If not will it be a problem when I return here in the US?

3. Also forgot to Register our Marriage to DFA, what is a good reason to put in the "reason for the delay in registering our/my marriage" section?
