My PD is 29 December 2017 and service center is California and am still waiting. But I want to ask that if the petitioner is a green card holder and he files i130  for the beneficiary . But the petitioner has applied for his citizenship. If the beneficiary gets it i130 approved before the petitioner gets his citizenship. Then the beneficiary will have to wait for the F2A category to be current before moving to NVC and I learnt the current waiting time is two years.

    Is this true??

No if it gets approved before becoming a US Citizen then You have to send and upgrade letter to USCIS or NVC who ever have your file send the upgrade letter with proof of your US certificate or US passport a photo copy. here is a sample letter for the upgrade.

Hi guys, just wanted to give an update on my case, I’m a U.S Citizen applying for my spouse, and my P.D was Jan 17 2017, and we just received the approval today from CSC. I know most here are LPR but I thought it would be good to leave an update anyways. I had mistakenly been place as a LPR and only noticed this mistake over a year into this long wait, fortunately after many attempts, we were able to correct this after getting assistance from my local representative, something I would highly advise most to do since it is so difficult to get in touch with CSC, as most of you probably have noticed by now. I had requested for an expedited process due to the fact that this was an USCIS error, however the reply received was that the error had been corrected and my case assigned to the appropriate personnel for processing and that I would have a decision within 45 days (that is today, on the 45th day). I do plan on making another request and hope that it is approved, and if anyone here has any input or tips I would welcome them. Other than that, I just wanted to thank everyone here for the support and valuable information shared on this forum.

Hi there I applied for my wife on Feb/21/2017 and i became a US Citizen on Jan/4/2018 and got my application upgraded on Jan/23/2018 i have tried to contact USCIS and every time they say they cant give me a time frame. I have seen other people did the upgrade and got there cases approved I really don't know what my next step will be it seems like CSC don't know how to get there work done since Jan/23 i have not got an approval or anything from them.

Hi there my PD is Feb 21 2017 and I did and upgrade from LPR to USC on Jan 23 2018 And still my I 130 is not yet approved i called USCIS 3 times And went to the senator and i made an info pass but nothing yet it looks like CSC is the worst Center ever and to be honest I gave up on waiting and it looks like they play games too much i saw some people that upgraded from LPR to USC and got approved in 1.5 months and some people in 2 months USCIS is not fair and they don't work in a proper way they just give you and excuse so we can shut our mouth up they don't work in the order it was received it is just random as what i see. some people are still waiting for NOA2 for PD Nov 3 and Nov 2 And some are Nov 10 that did not get approved yet so we are in a game with them I'm so PISSED OFF it looks like luck plays a role in this GAME with them lt's like playing the Lottery.

Hi there when did you upgrade from lpr to us citizen I applied for my wife on Feb/2017 and did an upgrade on Jan/2018 and still waiting can you please help me and tell me your timeline. I got a response from csc that my I-130 got upgraded on Jan/2018 and haven't heard anything since then I tried calling them and went to the Congress man's office and still did not get my approval yet.

  7. Hi there I applied for my wife on Fed 2017 and i became a USC in Jan 2018 and did an upgrade for my I-130 and was upgraded on Jan 23 2018 and since then i thought that my application would go faster since i became a USC but unfortunately still nothing from CSC called them 3 times one time i requested out of normal processing times on Feb/2/2018 and got a respond on Feb/9/2018 from USCIS says that they are aware of the delay and they are unable to give me a time frame when my case will be worked or reviewed. So I made an info pass on Feb/27/2018 i was thing like let me try going there and see if they can help they where like we cant see a processing time for USC in CSC and thats what i told her but she was like you just have to wait and that it should take another 5 months and I was like why would it take that much longer and said they did not get to your case yet and she estimates that long. she really didn't know what she was doing there she really didn't want to answer any of my questions. So I had my last option is to go to the congressman's office and submit a request so i made an appointment for today and did a request and now i just have to wait till someone call me or send me a letter from them i hope this one works. I really dont know what to do after i just want to know that if my case was at least is under review for processing. Worst Center ever too slow. If anyone here can help me what should i do next I'm out of ideas.

My wife became a USC in May 2017 and the application was upgraded in June 2017. They sent an RFE in October and we sent the response and was confirmed received on 31 Oct 2017. There is still no change after that. We called USCIS several times and were told that it is still under review

Did you try to go to the congressman's office or try to call a level 2 officer I'm going to the congressman's office this week. USCIS  seems like they are to slow and are not helpful enough to give us answers i will stay in contact if i get anything from them and please if u here anything back from them stay in touch.

My application was upgraded on Dec 6, and I got approval on Jan 23. I would suggest you to go to the local congressman's office to raise a request regarding this case saying that your priority date is already current as a USC, and not sure why the application is not yet approved. You should also call USCIS, and see if they can provide any info - talk to a level 2 supervisor if the first level is not able to provide any info.

Thank you so much for the update I will call USCIS tomorrow and go to the congressman's office this week.

I filed I-130 for my spouse in Mar 2017 as an LPR. I turned USC in Nov 2017, and my application was upgraded to spouse of USC from spouse of LPR on Dec 6, 2017. The application is pending at CSC

Based on forums, the I-130 for spouse of USC is getting approved with May 2017 priority dates, but my application is not yet approved. I went to an infopass appt last week, and they told me that my application was "touched" on Dec 13, and they dont know what happened with that touch. They were unable to provide any other info, and asked me to just wait.

Can someone please advise what can I do to expedite this in any way given other applications with the same category are getting approved.

Hi there I'm in the same boat as you are i applied for my wife on Feb 23 2017 and turned a USC on Jan 4 2018 my application got upgraded on Jan 27 2018 I am still waiting for my application to get approved. I have no clue what to do now and if u can tell me if u got any update's yet from CSC yet. Wish u all the best and please if u can stay in contact with me that will be great.
