Your all good then, I guess it's the UK Border Force you have to have worry about? They can be very arrogant towards non Brits at times. I am glad all went well for you but remember afew visits a year to the USA can raise the suspicions of homeland security customs officers.

Yeah your rite, first time when I went through border force at Manchester airport after coming back from Dubai I was stopped and they gone through few checks but since than I have travelled well over 20 countries on Pakistani Passport but never had any trouble, I always keep a spare  Landing cards with me so I always be the first one in international queue and its always seems like a peace of cake lol.

This time I am attending a conference for my work and I will have invitations and all the relevant papers from work.

    Thanks for your prompt response.

If you already overstayed on a visa, that will be a automatic travel ban into the USA. I am a British born citizen and I always traveled to USA on a B1/B2 even though I did not need to after 9/11.

If I was you I would seek some legal advice.

Hey thanks for your information, to let you know I have overstayed my Student VISA in UK and not USA.

Anyway went through Custom and Border protection without any problem, all they asked was purpose of visit and how long I am visiting for.

Now I need to travel back again in October for 10 days, I just follow the same procedure, keep my documents with me just in case and be honest :)

    Thanks for all your help.

I am assuming they are British Citizens, British Nationals is something else.

You apply and find out, your situation is what it is.

How you can afford the trip is confusing, but not usually a question.

yes indeed they are British Citizen :)

I would move some money about £2k from my saving to my running account to show funds.

  6. Hi thanks for prompt reply, I never travelled to US before and yes I did overstayed my Visa in UK. Currently I have UK family Visa which I have to extend every 30 months before I get Citizenship in 24 months.

I can also attach my Mortgage papers to show strong ties to UK, my Mrs travelling end of March so I think I am going to apply ASAP, also how much do I have to show in my bank, as currently my statement is overdrawn..... we are planning to spend atleast 2 weeks in US.

No I cannot apply for ESTA but I will book an appointment with US Embassy in London.

  7. Hi

I would really appreciate some help regarding US Visit Visa please.

My Wife ( British National ) is going to USA for a Conference in San Francisco and staying there for couple of weeks, so me and my daughter ( British National )are planning to go with her as I already booked holidays from work. My understanding is they both can get ESTA but I need to apply for a Visit Visa. The hotel is booked under her name from work so I need to know what documents do I need also do I need to tell them on a form I have FLR FP Visa and I overstayed my visa previously ??
    Documents I am attaching

    Hotel Booking ( Wife's name )
    Payslip
    Bank Statement
    Work Letter about my job
    Biomatrics residence card
    Passport
national ID Card ( Pakistan )
    Council Tax

Do I need any other documents ??

    Thanks
