Hi Readers. I need some advise if this is true to USCIS re: expired tourist visa

A woman came here in USA as a tourist visa from Philippines She's married and with children on month of May 2011, and her 6 months tourist visa expired November. She said they hired a lawyer to extend her visa to be able to stay for longer period with her live in boyfriend she met here in USA. and they lived together while she's here. although her visa was expired Nov. 2011, she again paid the lawyer for another extension for 2012 before her 6 months tourist visa expires November. She and her US Citizen live-in boyfriend applied a marriage licensed in City Court for them to get married. The court issued them a marriage licensed? what valid Identification? is Philippine passport valid for ID? for expired tourist visa? and can be married here in USA? and so they got married this month of October, according to her she filed a divorced paper and send it to Philippines and her husband in PI signed it. Now she is married to a US citizen, her husband applied for her adjustment of status? to be able to get a SSN? for her to work and also apply for drivers licensed? How true are these to marry a US citizen and adjust her status although her tourist visa expired? In other words she was an illegal alien, undocumented status. they claimed that USCIS lawyer helping them to adjust her status. How true is this?

I need some answers please.... thank you.

We had the interview last week, followed the letter mostly of items that they said to bring with us, they only wanted 3 items... 2010 tax's and copy of insurance cards that is all good thing I didn't have her get another medical done. Said it would take 3 months to get the new green card.

We got the interview letter but it says to bring a current medical report if not previously submitted....The guides never said anything about that and we don't have time to get one before the date..any ideas???

Well so far we have received 2 emails telling us the GC is ordered each one a week apart and the time the woman said at the interview it would take to get it has passed. Which I thought was too quick. She said we would have it in 3 to 7 days ha ha ha.

Oh well we just wait till it comes.

Well we went to Pittsburgh today for AOS interview and all went well the woman was very nice and pleasant and said we were getting the green card almost before we got to say anything. Only wanted the most recent pay stub and copy of lease on the house asked a question of Marivic's middle name and that was it. She said it should arrive here in about 3 to 7 days from tomorrow.

Help! I have a shirt wrapped around my face as I write this post. Some sort of small fish she cooks in oil, produces lots of smoke. It smells like the warmest day in gym class, only 100 times worse. It has been two days now, and I can't even go in the house without covering my face.

I'm from Manila, and I love to swim a lot and doing scuba diving. My family loves to go out of town, going to the beach to swim and snorkling. When I was a kid I remember when we had a school break, My mother will bring me to her province in Laguna where she was born, she even let my siblings to swim in the river in running water from the Banahaw mountain. Oh my, it was a nature place...that is what I miss in PI. Especially going to Bonito Island in Batangas where I hang every weekend.

We got an email today from saying EAD is now pending at the office............Marivic is wanting it to come soon, she has a job waiting for her as soon as she gets the card and ssn. Just a short walk from home, hopefully this month.

we have been waiting for the EAD and nothing at all I don't know if it is because it is in Vermont or what but the online statis has never changed since we submitted everything. Even thought we have gotten notices. This is driving us crazy

your timeline is very similar to mine. Same as us, we have not gotten any updates on anything except receiving our interview letter. No AP or EAD and the interview letter showed up in the mail and no update or change on line. I do not think it is where you are living because all the AP and EAD applications are processed in the national service center and not your local office. Only the interview is done there and the biometrics.

We have called twice and have left service requests and I called the other day for the third time and we were told we already placed one and we have to wait. Only thing left for us is infopass, but up here the mountain passes are so bad and we do not have a reliable car to drive since our local office is about 1.5 hours away...............

So just leaving it to our prayers.

Our EAD was sent to Vermont not NSC I don't know why. But the interview is in a few weeks hope the weather is good for the ride down to Pittsburgh it is an hour and a half trip for us also.
