I am sure things have changed in the last year. I was wondering if anyone has a link or information on what the Fiancee should bring to her interview (document wise) in Manila
Thanks

I have a buddy that is petitioning his Fiancee. Her address is too long to fit on line 2 of the I-129F. What should he do to make it fit and correct. He wants to type it.....
Thanks

I really liked how family oriented Filipinos are. America most families aren't.

I was just wondering if it happens often that the uscis denies applications or do they almost always send RFEs. Ive read some of the immigration lawyer websites and they give examples of people who were denied for what looks to be almost no reason but I suspect they are trying to scare people into getting a lawyer. Ive even read that about half of all applicants get rejected which scared me to hear that. My situation is ive never been married before, dont have any criminal record or anything, I met my fiance at filipinaheart and knew her for about 2 months before filing the I129f. For those who have been on this website for a while, I was wondering what you have seen as far as approvals. Do most legit couples get approved or is it true that a lot of people get denied for almost no reason or something very petty?
You must go see her in person and have pictures and emails to send with your I-129F, proof of a legitimate relationship, and proof of income. A lawyer is really a waste of money, you can do this process yourself. It's really very simple. You either have a true relationship or you don't. Knowing someone for 2 months will not cut it, USCIS won't like it.

My baby has been here in the states now for a week and we are having a great time. She has met some of my family and they have warmly welcomed her. The weather in Seattle has been cool and sunny and the fresh air she is enjoying, no pollution like Manila. I just wanted to let you all know how we are doing and the patience is well worth it. It took almost 1 year for her to get here, the biggest thing in all of this process is patience, you must have.
Thanks to all our VJ friends for the support for the long wait. We will keep in touch here....Take care everyone

Hello My VJ friends. We had a very eventful interview day today. We started this morning preparing documents to make sure we were prepared for the interview. We started at 7:30AM and were interviewed at 10:30AM. The interview was a breeze as the consular asked my Fiancee what she knew about me besides what was in the packet of information. More less was was discussed is why she loved me. This has been such a long process, but is so worth the wait and patience.
WE PASSED!!! I am so thankful for all the support. I am currently in an internet cafe near SM mall and I just wanted to let you all know. Delbros will deliver in the next few days and we are planning a trip with Fleur's famil from Subic Bay.
Thank you all so much and for all the answered questions. I learned so much from VJ. I can tell you follow the instructions that people tell you. Make no errors on the paperwork and if you have plenty of proof of relationship. Interview is a breeze.....
More later.....
Please update us as PASSED today 4/11/2007 and Visa should arrive next week......
God Bless you all..

What do you all think if I attend the interview with her. Is that an advantage or not???
-
Hello all
I have decided at the last minute to go see my baby and be with her for her interview. I will be arriving in Manila on Tuesday morning. I will get to an internet cafe at some point to let everyone know our interview results on April 11.
Pray for us....
Talk to you all when I get to Manila.....

I haven't seen that happen. It all depends on service center and embassy. If things go smoothly and you're going through CSC, you're looking at an average of 3-4 months there, then another month or so at NVC, then another month for them to complete it and another month for it to get to the embassy and have an interview scheduled. So you're looking at a 6-7 month wait and that is all in a perfect world type of thing.
If you're going through VSC, things are going a lot slower for CR-1/IR-1s. I've seen people who filed back in August and haven't been touched since September/October of last year.
Depends on the country, also you can never compare cases. Each case is different and will require lots of patience.

If hemorrhoid is not a problem but why doctors asked to spread butt cheeks during medical exam?
If doctor found out we have this hemorrhoid , do we need to wait couple of months to cure?
Need Ur answer please..
I can tell you that you do not have to worry, they are very common in the Philippines due to the diet over there. Just get some Preparation H and calm down. It is not a disease. I am sure the physical is just a look over your body to make sure your not bringing a disease to the USA.
You will be ok...Unless its infected and causing you major problems.

I need your help everyone..or someone that can convince us that everything will be ok. My baby had her medical recently and all went well until they asked her if she has ever had an abortion. She told them yes and now she has to go to a Psychiatrist, she couldn't lie to the Doctor.
I told her that it was ok and that I still loved her no matter what happened, she had to do what she had to do at the time. As she was not prepared to have a baby. I am just in tears and I hope this doesn't keep her from getting a VISA. Some of you may think that it was completley wrong, but under circumstances at the time she felt it was the best to not bring the baby into the world. I am so sick that the USCIS may judge her wrongly and it makes me so sad for her. I was very understanding with her. I talked to her about it and she seems to have dealt with it mentally and I hope the psychiatrist feels the same way.
I am so sad today and I pray to God that she can still come to meand be my wife. I love her so much.
I need you all.....VJ is my only outlet with this situation....I am a regular here but want to remain anonymous...
Any advice would help me so much
I am sorry to hear that. I hope that everything works out for you. My Fiancee has a very close friend that is going through the same thing. If you find anything out let us know....God Bless

I need some help here my friends. My Fiancee has a friend that just had her medical. A went well until she told the Dr. that she had an abortion. Now they want to send her to a Psychiatrist. She has dealt with the fact that she did what she had to do and moved on. She is scared that they might not give her the visa. Can this keep her from getting her k-1??? We really need to tell her??
Thanks so much for your advise?

This is a vent post.. just so you know of a bad experience with Delbros today.
x x x I hope you don't experience this kind of inconvenience. I have a big headache now.
Up to the last moment, you are kept in suspense ano? Just like in the movies ~ adventure, comedy, thriller, horror, suspense talaga itong visa process. But in the end, the fairy tale comes true. Kanta nga ni Snowhite, “someday my prince (ehe my visa) will come, lalalalalala.
Seriously speaking, what's going on with Delbros nowadays? There's a lot of complaints lately. Maybe it's time to collate data to document the complaints and then we can write the embassy about it.
Well, the delivery guy managed to find my address after all. He delivered our visas at 9:00p.m. last night--even if their website says they only deliver up to 5:00p.m.. I did talk to the supervisor yesterday. And yup, I am so very tempted to write Mr. Delgado (Delbros CEO) and the embassy about this. A collective documentation of complaints would even be better.
Now you make me feel like singing... I'm leaving on a jetplane...
Nah.. believe me it's more like poetry reading when i sing...
And so! Visas delivered: 28 March/6 days/Cainta, Rizal.
Thanks again and congratulations guys. Everyone who goes through this process deserves a big one... the visa process is certainly not for the weak of heart.
oh yes, i'm dancing now

Gen
Congrats Gen, that's great!!!
Congrats!
by the way, is there any chance that the consul will call the petitioner in the US during the interview?
I never heard of that...hmmmm
