The sample I-751 provided under "Example Forms" in this website does not enter any information under boxes like "Care Of" or "If your spouse is deceased"

I-751 instructions clearly indicate: State that an item is not applicable with "N/A", if the answer is none write "NONE"

Is this a big deal? should I make sure that all boxes are completed even with a "N/A" or "None"...has anyone submitted this form as illustrated by the sample cited above?

Yes it's important that you indicate N/A or None when the item is not applicable. Otherwise USCIS may assume you forgot to answer that question. Good luck!

Congrats!!! . if you're lucky, you'll get your oath letter within 2 weeks. otherwise in a month, maybe two months like i did. it all depends on how often ceremonies are conducted in your city. good luck.

well, after I got my GC in 2007, I filed for removal of conditions 2 yrs later to get my 10 yr GC (2009). Then I filed for naturalization this year, which is 3 yrs after I first received my GC. I can understand why it's confusing, but hope that answers your question. Good luck

I'm high jacking the thread for a moment. I notice by you time line that you filed for your naturalization a year after receiving your greencard. My understanding was that you had to have your greencard for three years before applying? Can you steer me in the right direction-where you got your inforamtion. I already downloaded all the naturalization forms and the literature stated that one needs to have their greencard for 3 years prior to filing. Am I misinformed, or did I just read it worng? Thanks

Does the sheet also say that your husband was recommended for approval? I was also handed a sheet that said I passed the test and interview, and that I was recommended for approval. My interviewer then told me I would get the oath letter soon. Have you checked your case status online? If your status hasn't changed from interview, then maybe you need to schedule an infopass appointment to find out what's going on. Good luck.

I was wondering if people who had the same result after their N-400 interview would let me know how long it took till for approval or what happend.

I should mention some detail if it helps..

Our 1st experience with USCIS for I-485/I-130/ssn all went smoothly easy everything only taking 2mo. from the time we filed to the interview!!!(nov.06-jan 4th 07) Really that fast. PR card approved day of interview with stamp , lawyer was present and filed it. Also I should mention that his conditions on his PR card were already removed for over a year so he already has his 10yr GC(for about 1 1/2 yrs). Which the removal of condtions only took 2mos. to process.

So we filed March 17th and the interview was June 15th. The only items that were requested at the interview were (other than passport/PR card/id)was the last 3yrs of our tax transcripts that we had not included in the origianl filing of the N-400. The interview was basic he went over the application and my husband said he really didn't focus on any particular subject like my husbands unemployment from last year or his previous marriage. None of it was questioned by the officer. So he passed the history test and English test and the officer said congrats everything looks good I am just going to go over your file. Than he said you will here from us if I need anything from you. My husband than was handed a piece of paper that said

X passed the history test and English test

XYour appilcation has not yet been approved. A decision can not yet be made. USCIS will contact you..

Any ideas when this decision will be made? I have read some bad stories of how long people wait..is this true? He was so lucky with all other filings?

Can I ask you something? Did you answer on the amendment question: a change and a addition or just one of them? Or for alligience: united states and the flag or just one. Just curious, should we answer we all sinonims or just one is enough?

So my wallet containing my 10yr GC got stolen back in October. I applied for a replacement card in January, and got a receipt notice which I'm mailing with my N400 application tomorrow. I've been waiting for my biometrics appointment. But today, when I checked my status online it says "card production ordered". It's strange 'cos I paid the required biometrics fee, but it looks like that's not going to happen based on my status. Could it be 'cos I'm about to apply for citizenship? has this happened to anyone?

I received my GC in the mail on 07/20/09. Please add me to the timeline. Thanks.

I ask because the employer requested and made a copy of his PR card when he was hired. That card has an expiration date and that date was entered on the I-9.

I think is a very good question. I am in the same situation even with the University (they ask to send the new copy of my permanent resident card as soon as I get that to take clases in fall 2009) and with my employer they called me last year to remember to send the new GC.

In my case I am not going to send the NOA1 because I am pretty sure that my 10 years GC is going to be approved before the expiration of my 2 year GC and I prefer to send that approval or the copy of the new 10 year green card to avoid any confusion with them.

I don't think your 10 yr GC will be approved before your 2 yr GC expires. Heck, I sent my app in April, and I just got a letter of extension, and biometric appointment for next week. You'll probably get just the letter of extension, approval comes later.

Congrats!!! It took just 2 days to get the actual card.

Four weeks isn't long at all, considering that most people have to wait several months after the interview. The Infopass appointment may also not be helpful if you're stuck in namecheck. But make it anyway, just in case there's something else holding up your application. And don't think about it too much. You'll be surprised that your approval will come when you're not even thinking about it. Good luck.
