    Hello,

I applied at CSC - my case was transferred to Nebraska & I got my approval letter 4/26/19 & my card came in the next day !

I would like to mention that while my case was pending I traveled in and out of the county A LOT and had no issues at all.

I have not yet filed for Naturalization, but I am actually going to submit the application this month.

Best of luck to everyone pending approval.

    Also,

After they changed the website my case never showed up in the app or the website, once it was transferred to Nebraska I was able to find it only on the website letting me know it was moved to Nebraska.

I had the same issue. I called the number with the same result (not recognizing receipt number). But then I talked to USCIS representative and I was told that everything is fine and they are working on applications from May 2017. And today I found out I was approved.

Good to hear I am not the only one having this problem. How did you find out you were approved without checking the case status website?

  4. Does anybody have trouble viewing your case on the USCIS website?

When I try viewing my case status i get this error message:

I made an account & I see the same message.

    • My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283.

i am using the Receipt Number listed in my I-797 NOA letter - starts with WAC. - My case is with the California Service Center.

Bremach, Thank you for your response. I have global entry too. My concern is more about leaving Madrid. I would like to get the stamp but it is almost impossible, you gotta have a good reason for them to stamp your passport. Tell me how you got it ?

    Thank you

As mentioned, I actually left Spain from Barcelona, and everything went smoothly. The airline counter did not ask anything about my stamp or letter. Barcelona has a passport check point after checking in, the officer there did not ask any questions either.

To get the I-151 stamp, I made an info pass appointment, in California they release them 15 days prior, so I was able to get one within 15 days. At the appointment all I asked was for an I-151 stamp because I was going to be travelling internationally a lot this year and did not want to have any setbacks. I took all my booked reservations with me, but I was not asked for them. The lady that helped me gave my passport to an immigration officer and after about 20 minutes I was called back up to the window and she gave me my passport with a stamp that had an expiration date one year from the appointment date. She said I can keep getting a new stamp as many times as needed until my case was resolved. They also took my expired green card.

It was fairly simple, I was in and out of there within 30 minutes.

Has anybody traveled to Spain(Madrid) with the extension letter?

    hello,

Yes ! I have traveled internationally with my extension letter, Spain being one of them. However, I went to get an I-151 stamp on my passport prior to taking any international trips & I have had absolutely zero problems.

We flew from LAX to London & London to Madrid & had no issues of course. We came home from Barcelona to LAX and had no problems either. I should mention that I also have Global Entry, therefore I still go in the Global Entry line upon arrival & speak directly to the immigration officer because I can't use the kiosk while on an Extension Letter.

I also traveled to Cabo, MX with the i-151 stamp & had no issues at all.

I carry a digital copy of my Extension letter and a hard copy of it when traveling to be safe.

Upon Checking in to my flight to Cabo the airline was very confused with the letter & had me waiting until they figured it out, but on the other flights I self checked in online and listed the expiration date of my green card to the date listed on the I-151 stamp and had no set backs.

The only reason I chose to get an I-151 stamp is because I was going to be travelling a lot this year and I didn't want to be carrying my original letter in all those trips and risk loosing it.

hope this helps ! let me know if you have any questions.

  7. Hello,

I have a few international trips coming up in April & May therefore I made an Info Pass appointment and requested an I-551 Stamp.

The process was very easy, they put a stamp on my passport that extends my permanent residency one year from the date the stamp was issued. They did however take my green card; the lady mentioned that I either had the stamp or the expired green card. I had proof of my trips with me, but she did not ask to see that information. All I gave her was my passport, expired green card, and NOA extension letter. I did ask about the waiting time for California Service center on the removal of conditions and she said they were currently doing October 2016 apps, and I should wait on my bio-metrics for another 90 days! She also mentioned that if I had done bio-metrics in the last 15 months I might not even get a bio-metric appointment since they could use that information.

Another interesting point she made was on my NOA extension letter, apparently the one I was given was in a new format/template that she was not familiar with. So if you are planning on traveling abroad I suggest getting an I-551 stamp to avoid having any issues. The entire process took about one hour.

    Best of Luck to Everyone!

Only one person has reported receiving biometrics appointment notice. Which sucks, because I'm leaving in a few days for a 2-week trip, and the delay is making me nervous!

I have 4 trips planned from February - may. fingers crossed it's not scheduled on one of those days. I've been reading mixed reviews about walk ins, but that might be the alternate option.
