Hi, my case was received on March 6th 2020, but there has been no action since. I submitted to Nebraska (LIN) since I'm in MN. It's almost nine months and I haven't even got a letter about biometrics. Anyone else in the same boat; i.e. being LIN and March? My only worry is what happens when the 18 month extension runs out and if/when we travel outside of the US again would I run into hassle since the card is expired? Thank you!

Yes, same here. Almost exact same (my case was received on March 5th 2020), nothing since receiving the initial NOA within a week. For your question, you can apply for naturalization in March and that is known to move things. Wishing you all the best.

Good news. My EAD was finally approved!! Yesterday said that card was being produced, and today that was approved.

The new USCIS website is very accurate. They update the status very fast compared to the other one.

If you guys did not create an account there yet, I would recommend it.

Hey, Same timeline as yours. I also replied to 2nd RFE

myaccount.dhs --> say they received it on 3/30 but USCIS.gov  stills says the same "we mailed you request for more ....".

My deadline to reply is 4/20 and I was wondering why one of them doesn't show the that they received the reply.

    Anyone having similar issues?

Yeah, I got the letter yesterday. They are asking for a joint sponsor. Well, at least is an action in my case.

Took more than a week to my congressman receive a message from the USCIS. Hopefully when they contact you they will have good news.

I got the same RFE and on the same date. They had, in the previous RFE, asked for my tax and job offer letter to consider my income. This time it is to have a joint sponsor. It is really ridiculous how this works. I am planning on replying to this RFE soon and wait until July for them to touch it again.

I've scheduled a meeting with them at the earliest possible opening (next Wednesday). Have no idea whether it will have any effect on my case but kinda feels good just to have something lined up.

    122 days for me :/

Out of interest, is your application being processed at the National Benefits Center?

Yes. All I-485 related EAD/AP are processed at NBC

I have heard that infopass is really not that helpful, but do keep us posted.

I made the inquiry and request to expedite my I-765 23rd January, and have also submitted my supporting document. I just hope this is a good news , I'm tired of waiting 151 days today.

Did you hear anything after that? I have had that same message for a month now.

You are not alone. I've been waiting since OCT 19, 2017. It have been over 120 days. Hopefully hear from them soon. I am going to contact my congressman. Let's see if will help.

Hang in there and have a good weekend!

Same here. I PD is 9/14/17 but I got an RFIE, reply to which was received on 10/24/17 (Biometric on 10/26/17). Even from 10/24/17, its been 123 days and I have no positive news.

Contacted senator's office but they get the same reply from USCIS, "Under review, you will hear from us shortly."

SR - 3 times. 2 are marked completed but nothing happend.

Expedite - Jan 26- was assigned to an officer on Jan 30 but nothing has happened. Got an email saying "Under review, you will hear from us shortly."

There are people from October that have GC and interviewed in Jan/Feb. I don't understand how USCIS processing works.

Anyone know if contacting Ombudsman would make any difference?

My experience trying to expedite at MSC / NBC has been poor.

Firstly, don't use the online system as suggested on this thread. The online system only lets you raise an SR. An SR is not the same thing as an expedite, and you don't want to raise an SR. You can only expedite by calling them, by mail, or through your congressman. SRs show up on the 'Next Steps' part of the USCIS case checking system (right side), Expedite will show up under 'Case History' and will have a code like T1D...WKD or similar, presumably standing for Tier 1. SRs look like SR..MSC, for example.

I raised an expedite request on 1/2 and on 1/3 they sent a request for more information through regular mail. They didn't email or call me even though they had all the details required to do so. The letter arrived on 1/9 and it asked for more supporting information, providing an "Attn" line for the team handling my request, plus the fax number. I faxed my supporting documentation with a cover letter on 1/9. On 1/23 (2 weeks later) I called USCIS again. They said they have no record I even faxed the documents! I faxed them again yesterday.

The expedite process seems to be very 'hit or miss'. I wish you the best of luck with it.

    Hey,

Any update on your case? I am in a very similar situation as you. I called for expedite, and they emailed me back saying "case under review. You will hear from us shortly."

    This was 10 days ago.

  8. Package received by USCIS: 9.14.17

    RFIE: 10.12.17

RFIE reply received by USCIS: 10.24.17

    Biometric: 10.25.17

    SR: 12.4.17 - No reply

SR2: 12.28.17- No reply (both for EAD and done online)

Senator's office checked on the case: 12.30.17- told to wait 90 days from 10.25.17

How should I expedite my EAD? I have OPT EAD which expires in April but USCIS is taking forever. Anyone who has expedited the EAD, can you tell me how to get past the customer service guy that keeps telling me to wait?

Only a few of us have been lucky enough to get interview appointments or have their EAD combo cards in hand. Unfortunately, your case seems 'typical'. I filed an expedite on 1/2 (@ 77 days) and an SR on 1/16 (@ 91 days) and neither have been responded to. Others have done neither and got their combo cards already. Most likely you will just have to wait.

The visajourney stats estimate I-765s are coming back today that were filed October 20th. The official statistics are showing a 120 day lead time for EADs processed by MSC/NBC. I would not worry until 120 days have elapsed.

    Thanks for the reply.

I am currently on OPT-EAD (12 months) and that expires 4/30/18. Not sure if I can apply for the 24-month extension with AOS pending (it also costs additional $410).

Not sure why I765 is taking so long with AOS. OPT-EAD was approved in 47 days!

I also got my senator's office to contact them and they told them that 90 days is normal. I'll call in by the end of this week if I don't hear back.
