If you qualified for 5 year rule then you don't need to bring anything they would need under 3 year. Only what they ask you. What you mentioned you would bring should be good enough.
If you're on the fence and want to bring the extra stuff regarding your husband, you can. But they shouldn't ask you since you applied through 5 year.
Thank you so much for your quick reply!

Hello everyone,
My interview is in 1 week, so I just want to make sure, that I am bringing everything they need!
So I applied under 5 year rule, I got my green card through marriage, however I divorced almost a year ago ( we were married more than 5 years).
I'll bring my:
-notice letter, green cards ( 2 & 10 year), passport, and state ID,
-Divorce decree,
-Tax transcripts for 5 years
-a few paystubs to show that I am still employed
Do I need to bring : my marriege certificate, my ex husband's naturalization certificate (I have only a copy) not the original? My ex's divorce decree, he was married once before he married me? Do I need to bring any supporting documents like bills etc, until we were together?
Just want to make sure that I'll have everything with me! Better to be safe than sorry!

Yes - you get to choose. The 2008 version is much easier.
Information can be found here: https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-reverts-to-the-2008-version-of-the-naturalization-civics-test
Thank you. I definitely go for the 2008 version!

I've received an interview date today! The interview is scheduled for September 7, 2021. USCIS center is New York (26 Federal Plaza Manhattan). - I filed N400 online 12/1 2020.
As for the Civic test, just to make sure before I start learning the questions, I can take the 2008 civic test right? Or If I want I can choose the 2020 one!

In my opinion, don't get bogged down with the timeline, mine says 14 months after receiving a date for interview, my interview is on June 28
I think you are right, I try to stay positive but you know it's not that easy
Good luck with your interview in june!

Today I woke up to an "Action taken" notice and it turns out my in-person biometrics appointment is schedule for June 18th in Brooklyn, NY!
Some backstory: I called them a few days ago to ask where my case was at since I decided to spend the summer in Italy with my family and I'm leaving soon (I got a person on the phone by repeating "technical support" over and over, a tip I found somewhere on this forum). The lady on the phone couldn't give me any new information, then today I got the notice!
It might be just a coincidence but if you are in the same position I do think giving them a call might be a good idea.
Needless to say I had to postpone my already-booked flight to Italy but I'm so happy things are moving! Oh, and my estimate completion time now says 14 months 😏
MIne now says 13 months, it used to be projected around November 2021! I am from Brooklyn as well! My biometrics was reused in February though.

Mine went from expected completion in June 2021 to Estimated time* until case decision: approx. 10 months ... not sure if that means October 2021 or 10 months from now.
I have tickets booked to Europe to see my family in September for the first time post-Covid, and my green card expires in June. Looks like I can kiss that flight goodbye.
Beyond pissed.
I feel your pain! 😔

@CloudNine1, I wouldn’t be too worried about the new processing time estimates (I know easier said than done...). In my experience, USCIS often makes adjustments when it introduces or re-introduces tools, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw our processing time estimates go up and down for the next couple of weeks.
It would be interesting to learn what estimated processing times are for others. Mine are just like CloudNine1’s; it used to be projected around August 2021; now it says 11 months as well.
Mine says 13 months, it used to be around November 2021 😔
Do you guys think it will change? I’m already waiting since December 2020 plus adding this extra 13 months is just way too long! I’m really upset right now!

I had an estimated completion for June 2021, now that has completely disappeared from the website. More waiting I guess

Just a little things to share about this. According of my client (he is a immigration lawyer) that it takes about 3 weeks for NY filers. From the date you filed. According this i should have it by January 15th 2021
I ll keep you updated about it if its going to be true!
I am a NY filer too. I filed mine online on the 1st of December, no biometrics yet!

You must answer yes to these questions in order to become a citizen. Unless there is a medical or documented religious objection reason why not (I.e. you are a practicing Mennonite or Quaker and war is antithetical to your religious moral code) you must say that if the law requires you to do something, you will do it.
Thanks so much for your reply! 3 Yes from me then!!

Initially, I did only divorce certificate and green card photos but a week ago also attached tax transcripts. Not sure if it'll make it any faster but won't hurt
Thank you so much for your reply! I’ll also attach tax transcripts as well! Did you attach 3 or 5 years tax?
33 minutes ago, ZKT said:For mine i sent them my husband's 3 years of tax transcripts returns (as single) then the last 2 years (2018 & 2019) married filled jointly as proof of real marriage. We've only been married for 2 years. If you submit 1040's, they want your w2's also. But they are happy with just tax transcripts most of the time.
I am sorry I wanted to ask someone else, but thank you for your reply as well

Hi all, I'm so glad I found a September 2020 application thread! I applied on September 14 under the 5 years conditions and no longer married. I already have my ROC completed (thank god!) and now I'm starting again another long process but I hope it goes by nice and smooth for all of us. talking about the wait time, I see in my application that my estimated case competition time is 13 months and I should hear something back by October 31,2021 😬 well, let's see... good luck everyone!
Hi, I am about to file mine just like you, under 5 years rule, divorced! May I ask what kind of documents did you send, besides Green Card and your divorce certificate?

I filed 9/3 based on 5 year residency rule (though 3 months before actually having full 5 years). Right now it says estimated time 9 months (June 2021). Good luck to us all!
May I ask what kind of documents did you attach to your application?

- Birth Certificate of your kids
- last 3 years of tax transcripts (optional)
I am also filing under the 5 year rule, however I am divorced. As I understand I need the Green card copy, my divorce certificate! Do i need my marriage certificate as well?
And also 3 or 5 years of tax transcripts should I submit, If I choose to add them too?
